Holding a copy of my successful self-help book, “Change Your Story-Change Your Life” is a reminder that the work I wrote about is also the work I continue to do every single day.
Living with disordered eating behaviours and thinking means that changing my story isn’t a one-time event-it’s a daily practice. Some days it feels easier than others, but the commitment to challenge old beliefs and rewrite unhelpful narratives remains the same.
I originally wrote this book to help others find hope, perspective and practical tools for their own journey. What I didn’t fully realise was that it would continue to serve as a manual for me too-a reminder of the lessons I need to revisit, the mindset shifts I need to practice and the story I want to keep choosing.
We’re all works in progress. And sometimes the guidance we offer to others is exactly what we need to hear for ourselves.
