Daily self-care check-in đ
When life becomes busy, stressful, or overwhelming, the first things we often lose are the basics.
We skip meals.
Forget to drink water.
Push through exhaustion.
Ignore what our body is asking for.
And yet, these small acts of care are not small at all.
Our nervous systems were never designed to run on empty.
Rest is not laziness.
Eating is not indulgence.
Hydration is not a luxury.
Movement is not a punishment.
These are the foundations of wellbeing.
In therapy, we often return to the basics not because they fix everything, but because itâs difficult to navigate lifeâs challenges when our most fundamental needs have gone unmet.
So today, take a moment to check in:
đ˝ď¸ Have I nourished my body?
đ§ Have I had enough water?
đż Have I moved in a way that feels good for me?
đ´ Have I allowed myself moments of rest?
đŹ Have I connected with others or with myself?
đŹď¸ Have I paused long enough to notice how Iâm really doing?
Self-care isnât always grand gestures.
More often, itâs found in the small, repeated acts of care that quietly remind us:
I matter too. â¤ď¸đ
