💥💥I know this is a big read, but just want to share a bit about myself and why I’m a WeightWatchers Coach and how WeightWatchers has changed my life in the best possible way, so I would love if you could take 10 minutes to read it to the end and if you can share I would really appreciate it. Thank you💥💥
At the age of 11, people at school started to tell me I was getting “fat”, not a word I would use about myself or about anyone else. At the age of 16/17, I started doing all the fad diets, as well as going to slimming club after slimming club. I tried them ALL, but none worked long term. Tell me I can eat as much “free food” as I want and that’s what I was going to do. As a result, instead of losing, I put on 😂I remember walking through the door of a well attended club, in my early 20’s and saying to myself, “I just have to do this till I can get to where I want to be, then I can go back to eating what I want”. As a result, I lost over 5 stone, then piled it all back on and more. It was never explained to me that my whole behaviour with food had to change for life. I continued to eat unhealthily, cutting out the food my body needed so I could still eat the rubbish.
Eventually, I joined WeightWatchers but the first time I only went once, it wasn’t for me, they wanted me to eat healthily, imagine that!!!! Years later, in desperation, I went back to WW and that’s where the change started to happen. It wasn’t a race, it’s always a work in progress, it’s a journey to a healthy mind and body, but no food is “rubbish”, it’s a choice and it’s about working out how to fit in the foods we love but also eat all the nutrients our bodies can’t function properly without.
Over the years WeightWatchers has moved on in an amazing way, always backed by science and I’m so proud to be a Wellness Coach working with this company, who have their members at the heart of their business. We regularly talk about nutrition, food, activity, mindset and sleep and about drinking water. Their new app has everything from tracking, macros, a body scanner, virtual workshops, menopause and diabetes support, and a GLP1 companion programme, and not leaving out our in person workshops and much much more. I love supporting members to reach their goals and the amazing thing is, that what I’ve learned from the talks and coaching I do has helped me to become the healthiest version of myself too.
I’ve had members who’ve come with mobility and health issues and have managed to overcome them by following the WeightWatchers plan.
