We have had reports from patients that the junction at Roberston Road and Whitefield Road is currently closed with the ongoing road works. It is not clear how long this will be the case for and it is apparently causing significant traffic issues in the area.

If you have an appointment with the Practice today, it is advised to avoid this route at present.

It’s Stroke Awareness Month, which is a timely reminder of how important it is to know the signs of a stroke and to act FAST.

Every year, more than 10,000 people in Scotland experience a stroke, and spotting the signs early can save lives.

FAST means:

➡️ Face: Can the person smile? Is one side of their face drooping?
➡️ Arms: Can they lift both arms? Is one arm weak?
➡️ Speech: Is their speech slurred or hard to understand?
➡️ Time: It’s time to call 999 immediately.

If you spot the signs of a stroke, don’t wait - act FAST and call 999.

PRESCRIPTION VOICEMAIL LINE DISCONTINUED FROM 12 MAY 2026

Our prescription voicemail line will be discontinued from 12 May 2026 and messages cannot be left after this time.

The easiest alternative way to order medication is using the Patient Access App. Please contact the Practice to request to register for this. This process may take a few days and the Practice will contact you when complete with your Registration login details.

Alternatively, you may order prescriptions by handing in or posting your requests to the Practice, asking your chemist to order it for you, or visit our website at newparkmedicalpractice.nhs.scot click on Repeat Prescriptions on the homepage, and complete the online form.

Please do not call the main Practice number as medication requests will not be taken on this.

The event will be held on Wednesday 27th May 2026 from 10am - 4pm at Rothes Halls, Glenrothes. Access to Rooms 3 and 4 where the event will be held is available via stairs but there is also access available via lift if needed.
