Lydia Heins Physiotherapy

Lydia Heins Physiotherapy I offer sessions for both new and existing adult patients, delivered in the comfort of your own home. As of 2025, I have over 10 years of experience.

For added convenience, virtual assessments are also available for those who prefer remote support. I qualified as a physiotherapist in 2015 with a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy from the University of Hertfordshire. In 2025, I further advanced my expertise by completing an MSc in Trauma and Orthopaedic Science at Queen Mary University of London. I began my career at a large NHS Trust in South London,

before moving to another major Trust in North West London in 2019 to specialise in trauma, orthopaedic, and surgical rehabilitation. In 2025, I transitioned to community-based physiotherapy in Northern Ireland. My specialist interests include trauma, orthopaedics, and limb reconstruction. I also have expertise in amputee rehabilitation, vascular surgery, neurological injury, vestibular dysfunction, facial palsy, frailty, falls prevention, and dementia care. I'm passionate about helping people not just recover, but thrive—offering friendly, expert assessment and holistic rehabilitation tailored to each person's goals, with clear advice and a strong focus on long-term wellbeing.

🎉 1 year of Lydia Heins Physiotherapy! 🎉

Today marks one whole year since I took the leap and started Lydia Heins Physiotherapy — and what a year it has been! 💙

When I look back, I feel incredibly proud of how far the business has come. From those first few appointments and plenty of nerves, to building a growing practice, meeting so many wonderful people and helping clients work towards their goals, it has been a truly rewarding year.

A huge thank you to every client who has trusted me with their care. Whether you came to me for an injury, rehabilitation, pain management, or simply to get back to doing the things you love, I’m so grateful to have been part of your journey.

I’m also incredibly thankful to everyone who has supported the business along the way — family, friends, local businesses and fellow healthcare professionals. Your encouragement, recommendations and belief in me have meant more than you know. ❤️

There have been plenty of lessons, challenges and proud moments over the past year, and I’m excited to see what the next chapter brings.

Here’s to year two — continuing to learn, grow, and most importantly, helping more people move better, feel stronger and get back to doing what they love. 🏃‍♀️💪

Thank you for an amazing first year!

Arthritis can make everyday tasks feel harder than they should.
Physiotherapy can help improve joint movement, reduce stiffness, increase strength, and give you the confidence to stay active.
Recently, a client told me they were experiencing less pain and, as a result, were sleeping much better after following their personalised treatment programme.
Small changes can make a real difference.

🌀 Feeling dizzy when you roll over in bed, look up, or bend down?

You may be experiencing **Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo (BPPV)** – one of the most common causes of dizziness, especially in adults over 50.

The good news? **BPPV is often very treatable.**

Today I visited a patient in her own home who had been struggling with dizziness caused by BPPV. After assessment and treatment, we were able to start addressing the root cause of her symptoms without the need to travel to a clinic.

As a home-based physiotherapist, I provide assessment and treatment in the comfort of your own home. If dizziness is affecting your confidence, mobility, or daily activities, don't assume it's something you just have to live with.

✅ Home visits
✅ Assessment of dizziness and balance problems
✅ BPPV treatment and repositioning manoeuvres
✅ Experienced physiotherapy care

If you or a family member are experiencing dizziness, get in touch to see how I can help.
