The face behind Aileen’s Beautique & Retreat — and judging by this photo, apparently someone who thinks 11.30pm is a perfectly reasonable time to start a few hours of work 😂🫠💻
I’ve been in the beauty industry for years and started my business from a little beauty room in my mummy’s spare room, to building the salon & retreat we have today 🥹💕 Something I’m ridiculously proud of.
But I thought this was also a good time to introduce the slightly less Instagrammable version of me 😂
Because if you follow me on here, you might think I have my whole sh*t together…
I can confirm, I absolutely do not. 🫣🤣
You see the busy salon, gorgeous treatments, my amazing team, new launches, family life, holidays and all the lovely bits.
What you don’t always see is me sitting with the laptop at 11.30pm doing rotas, wages, orders, accounts, replying to messages, planning offers months in advance, fixing whatever problem has appeared that day and having approximately 947 tabs open in my brain at all times 😂🫠
Being your own boss definitely has its perks and I wouldn’t change what I’ve built for the world. This isn’t a pity party — I bloody love it. 💕
But the business owner you see with everything organised and under control is also very regularly winging it, forgetting things, questioning herself and catching up on work when the rest of the house is asleep 😂
