This morning the children from Patchwork Nursery ELC joined us for a fun game of Pool Noodle Subbuteo! Using a table and a zimmer frame as goals, residents and children worked together to score some fantastic goals, share plenty of laughs, and enjoy a bit of friendly competition.

It was wonderful to see all ages getting involved making great memories together. A fantastic intergenerational activity enjoyed by everyone! 🥅⚽😊

🌍⚽ Today’s World Cup Menu ⚽🌍

Today we travelled to Turkey and Australia through food!

Our World Cup special was a delicious Turkish Chicken Shawarma served with turmeric rice, iceberg lettuce, pickles, pickled onions, homemade tzatziki, hummus, and feta cheese.

For dessert from Australia, our chef created a wonderful Lamington Layer Cake, which proved very popular with residents and staff alike! 🇹🇷🇦🇺

Other lunch options included:
🥧 Steak pie, chips and peas
🍽️ Meatloaf with mash and mixed vegetables

Desserts:
🍮 Semolina
🥭 Mango sorbet

Evening options:
🍔 Buttermilk chicken burger
🌽 Cream of sweetcorn soup
🫘 Beans on toast
🥪 Sandwiches
