Sending you all some warmth and sunshine today.
No sooner had I said, we might be able to do yoga outside, the weather turned! My fault.
So here is the humble, misunderstood, overlooked, resilient little flower, that thrives despite challenges with gentle persistence. Standing on its own two feet no matter what.
The golden wildflower that is the dandelion.
The fiery yellow petals transform into airy white seeds that disperse in the wind. Used as a divination tool, who remembers closing their eyes, making a wish and blowing the seeds, or seeing how many blows it would take to disperse the seeds to tell the time?
Today dandelions are widely used in herbal medicine to support digestion and liver function, and every part of the plant is edible. They give food, medicine and beauty. Still think of them as weeds?
I will bring some dandelion tea tonight to drink together after our class.
Yoga tonight June 2nd at 7pm.
