We’re so proud to share that the Old Rectory Care Home has been named as a finalist in the Kent Care Awards for the Care Team Award.

This recognition means so much to us as it reflects the experienced, professional and compassionate support our team provides every day to residents and families across Kent.

Whether supporting people through residential care, dementia care or respite care, our focus is always on creating a warm, safe and caring home where people feel valued, understood and supported.

We’ll find out in September whether we’ve won, but for now, we’re simply honoured to be recognised alongside so many dedicated care teams across Kent.

A huge well done to the whole team.

🌸 Bringing More Colour to Our Garden 🌸

There's something wonderfully satisfying about getting your hands in the soil and watching our garden come to life. 🌿

Our residents enjoyed a lovely morning planting beautiful geraniums, choosing their favourite colours and helping create even more vibrant displays for everyone to enjoy. Gardening is about so much more than flowers it's a chance to spend time outdoors, share conversations, reminisce about gardens we've loved over the years. 🌺💚

There’s something so uplifting about spending time in the fresh air, surrounded by nature and good company.

Our garden is an extension of our home, a place to unwind and enjoy the sights and sounds of summer. 💚

Music has a wonderful way of bringing back cherished memories, and that's exactly what happened when we enjoyed a fantastic live performance at our home. 🎵💛

There was plenty of toe-tapping, swaying and singing along as familiar classics filled the room. One particular favourite was "You're Sixteen, You're Beautiful and You're Mine", which had everyone smiling and reminiscing about the songs that formed the soundtrack to their younger years.🎤🎶
