Ten years ago, this was our welcome home committee at Mum & Dads, we had only popped out I think . Which can feel like forever for those waiting š
Five little sausages , lined up at the gate, each with their own personality, quirks and way of making us smile. At the time, it felt normal. Ordinary. Just another day.
Today, only one remains of this line of mischief .
Our Sweet Hattie, enjoying her vintage years being a demanding diva and so she should.
Looking back, it reminds me how temporary everything is. The people we love. The pets who steal our hearts. The moments we assume there will always be more of.
We spend so much time waiting for the next thing, worrying about what might happen, or wishing things were different, that sometimes we forget to notice the magic already sitting in front of us.
This photo is a gentle reminder to enjoy the walk, make time for a coffee with a friend, cuddle the dog, make the phone call, sit in the sunshine, and tell people you love them.
Because one day, what feels ordinary today becomes a treasured memory.
