Happy 105th Birthday, Elizabeth! 🎉🎂🎈🎁🎊

Today we celebrated a truly special milestone as Elizabeth turned 105! It was a lovely day filled with happiness, smiles, plenty of cake and precious moments with her family and friends by her side.

Elizabeth was absolutely delighted as she celebrated with staff and her loved ones. It was wonderful to see everyone so happy, sharing laughter and creating memories together.

From all of us at Charters Court, we wish Elizabeth a very happy 105th birthday. May your special day be filled with love, joy and many more wonderful moments. 🎉🎂🎈🎁🎊

Linda has worked her magic once again and produced another fabulous Halloween themed balloon arch in our reception area. Come in and enjoy our spooky decorations, Charters Court is Halloween ready!! 🎃👻🕷🕸

What a morning we had with Marco's Magic and his amazing balloon creations!

Our residents also enjoyed plenty of laughs, amazing tricks, together with silly songs and a few moments of "How did he do that?"

A huge thank you to Marco for adding some extra sparkle to our day! 🪄🎩✨🎶🎈

This morning our crafty residents came together and produced some fabulous spooky Halloween decorations that are now on display for everyone to enjoy throughout the home.

It was lovely to see so much enthusiasm, concentration and joy during the activity as everyone proudly admired their spooky decorations.

Creative sessions like these are a wonderful way to encourage self-expression, spark happy memories and bring everyone together. 🎃👻🐈‍⬛

It might be October, but Haskins Garden Centre is ready for Christmas! 🧑‍🎄🎄🧑‍🎄🎄

Our residents loved looking at the Christmas gift selection and got some great ideas for presents. The activities team are planning several shopping trips nearer the time, where everyone can enjoy looking at the fabulous decorations, twinkling lights and purchase a few Christmas gifts.

Once again we had the pleasure of welcoming the fabulous Andy Mace - Care Home Entertainer to Charters Court.

Music has a way of getting everyone involved, and there was plenty of singing, dancing and smiling along the way. Andy's enthusiasm always helps to create such an enjoyable atmosphere. Watching our residents reactions to the songs they recognise is really a beautiful thing to see!

We are already looking forward to seeing Andy again soon! 🎶🎤🕺✨

Our residents absolutely love taking part in Anna from I AM Dance Fit Zumba sessions. There's always plenty of smiles, laughter and of course some great music! 🎶💃

These gentle exercises are a wonderful way for our residents to stay active while working at a pace that feels comfortable. Regular movement can help older adults maintain strength, flexibility, balance and mobility, while also supporting their overall wellbeing. 💪🫶

But perhaps the biggest benefit is the fun and togetherness! Exercising as a group gives our residents the opportunity to socialise, enjoy music and have a good laugh, while keeping their bodies moving. 👏😂

Our crafty residents have started to work on a colourful remembrance display project. Working together to produce some fabulous hand crafted Poppies, they cut out flower and leaf templates and then used paint, glue and egg boxes to construct the flowers.

Watch this space as the completed Poppies will be added to cardboard soldiers in the next couple of craft sessions and then displayed in our reception area for everyone to enjoy!
