This week we have introduced a new Friends and Family Test provider to make sharing feedback about the care you have received here at QVH quicker and more convenient. ๐Ÿ’ฌ

Patients invited to take part by text message will now receive a simple online survey, but you can still telephone, scan the QR codes around the hospital or submit your paper feedback if you wish to do so.

Every comment helps us improve the care and experience we provide. ๐Ÿ’™

โ€œWhilst waiting for an appointment, I overheard another patient talking about how lucky they were to be seeing Mr Bisase. As they left, they stopped and said to me: 'He is such a lovely man, you'll be okay.' What star quality is that, to enable a complete stranger to offer such confident comfort to another?" ๐ŸŒŸ

These words were shared by a patient who nominated Brian Bisase, Maxillofacial/Head & Neck Cancer Surgeon, for QVHโ€™s 2026 Outstanding Patient Experience Award. ๐Ÿ’™

Brian was recognised for the confidence, kindness and reassurance he inspires in those he cares for, with patients describing the lasting impact he has had on their healthcare journey.
He said: โ€œSupporting people through what can often be an uncertain and difficult time is a privilege, and I am grateful for the trust that patients place in me and the wider team.โ€

Congratulations, Brian! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ†

We are delighted to share that QVH has once again been recognised as one of the country's top-performing hospitals for patient experience, achieving the joint highest overall patient experience score in England in the latest national Care Quality Commission Adult Inpatient Survey! ๐ŸŽ‰

Our patients rated their overall experience at QVH 9.3 out of 10, compared with a national average of 8.2, with particularly high scores for respect and dignity (9.8/10), kindness and compassion (9.7/10), confidence and trust in doctors and nurses (9.5/10), and cleanliness (9.7/10). The survey also highlighted several areas where QVH stands out nationally, including getting patients to a ward bed quickly, taking account of patients' mental health needs, supporting families and carers, and helping patients understand what happens next after discharge.

Thank you to all of our QVH colleagues - whether you work directly with patients or in one of our many support services - you all contributed to these brilliant results! Thank you also to our patients for taking the time to share their feedback and help us continue to improve. ๐Ÿ’™

We always enjoy receiving feedback from our patients, and we are very proud of some we have recently received.

One individual under the care of our Critical Care Unit said: โ€œMy experience has been second to none. All the staff are amazing, caring and kind. Other hospitals could learn a lot from the way things are done here.โ€ ๐Ÿ’™

Well done to all of our teams for their continuous hard work and dedication to patient care.
