Dear Patients,
It is with great sadness that we share with you the news that one of our long serving and very valued receptionists, Sally Watts, passed away peacefully after a long illness on Sunday 7th June 2026.
Sally gave 20 years exemplary service to the Practice, placing patient care at the heart of everything she did. Her kindness, professionalism, commitment and compassion touched countless patients and colleagues alike.
Sally viewed her colleagues as her extended family and was an integral part of our team. Her presence, support and friendship will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of working alongside her.
There will be a Book of Commemoration available at both surgeries for anyone who would like to share their thoughts and memories of Sally.
This is an incredibly sensitive and difficult time for our staff and we are doing everything we can to support them through this period and ask that everyone remains mindful of the impact this loss will inevitably be having.

Abuse towards Staff!
Respect towards our staff should never be optional.
Healthcare environments are stressful for everyone, but abusive behaviour towards staff only makes things worse
It damages morale and drives good people out of the profession.
We strive for a culture where compassion goes both ways so please support our staff and speak up if you see abuse.

Dear Patients,

Just a reminder that our repeat prescription line will cease to be available from Monday 3rd August for all but housebound patients.
Housebound patients can continue to call but the opening times of the line will be moving to 11:00 - 13:00 daily.
Please see earlier communication for alternative ways to order your medication.
Anyone calling who is not eligible will be asked to use one of the alternative methods listed.

Reminder to all patients that both East Harling and Kenninghall surgeries will be closed tomorrow afternoon (Wednesday 22nd April) between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m for full staff training.
We apologise for any inconvenience.

MISSED BLOOD TEST APPOINTMENTS
We would like to remind patients of the importance of attending scheduled blood test appointments.
Demand for these is currently very high so if you are unable to attend your appointment PLEASE inform us as soon as possible so we can offer the slot to someone else.
In the last 4 weeks there have been 39 lost appointments due to patients failing to attend or cancelling their appointment; this is the equivalent of 6.5 hours of lost clinical time.
PLEASE help us to help you by letting us know if you are unable to attend a your appointment.

Covid and Flu vaccinations

Dear All,
We have started sending out invitation texts to over 75's and those in the eligible cohorts for direct booking into a clinic on either the 4th or 11th October at East Harling Surgery to receive both covid and flu vaccinations.
We will start sending out invitation texts for those eligible for flu only shortly.
