Playday 2026 takes place on Wednesday, 5 August 2026, celebrating children's right to play with the theme "Play – here, there, everywhere". Coordinated by https://www.playscotland.org/ the annual event highlights everyday adventures and making local spaces more playful.

Every child has the right to the highest attainable standard of health. The UN Committee on the Rights of the Child has warned that alcohol marketing can have a lasting impact on children’s health, wellbeing and development.

Now that the UNCRC is incorporated into Scots law, Scotland has a duty to protect children and young people from harmful influences, including alcohol marketing. Young people themselves are raising concerns about how visible and heavily promoted alcohol is in their communities and are calling for action. Their voices deserve to be heard.

Alcohol marketing leads children and young people to start drinking earlier, to drink more, and to drink at problematic levels. We need to do more to prevent this.

A huge thank you from everyone at Men’s Zone to Colin for taking on an incredible challenge to help raise money for our men's mental health group. 💙
Colin and his three dogs set off from East Kilbride with the goal of tackling the West Highland Way, all to help keep Men’s Zone going and support men in our local community.
Unfortunately, a foot injury forced Colin to stop and take a well earned rest.
Once he has recovered, Colin is determined to get back out there and finish what he started. 💪
Along the way, Colin met a gentleman from England who had found himself in a bit of difficulty. Colin stopped to help him, and in return, the gentleman kindly said he would share Men’s Zone as he continues and completes the West Highland Way. We really appreciate him helping to spread the word about what we do.
We'd also like to say a massive thank you to every single person who sponsored Colin. Your generosity will help keep Men’s Zone running and allow us to continue providing a safe, welcoming space where men can talk, support one another, and know they're never alone.
Colin, thank you for your determination, kindness, and support. We're all behind you and wish you a full and speedy recovery. We can't wait to see you back out there to complete the challenge when you're ready.
Thank you again from everyone at Men’s Zone.

We’re delighted to announce a new partnership with Lanarkshire Links.

Our weekly Mental Health & Wellbeing Group normally runs as a men’s group, but once a month we’re opening the doors to everyone.
On the third Thursday of every month, Lanarkshire Links will join us to co‑host a special session that’s open to all adults, offering informal peer support, holistic self‑care, and a relaxed space to share experiences and learn about local support.

First open session:
Thursday 20th August
1.30pm
The Westwood Community Hall.

There is no cost to attend and refreshments will be provided.

We’re really looking forward to welcoming everyone into this inclusive monthly group.

Keep an eye on the page for more announcements 😊
