Green Willow Residential Care Home is a 30 bed home, for older people in East Preston. We believe that every single one of us has our own very specific preferences and needs for the life we want to live. And we are committed to meeting those needs and respecting those choices for everyone coming into one of our homes whether they are a resident, a staff member or a visitor. We promote and support

each individual’s right to dignity, empowerment, independence, choice and safety through individualised person centred care. We focus on providing effective communication and relationships through kindness, empathy, respect and trust. We believe that small details make a big difference. Our family like homes make people feel valued and that their opinions matter. These values mean a lot to each of our team and we live by them day to day – come and see for yourself.

We spoke about Welsh traditions and ate their food🍲We sat and discussed our own experiences- Barry and Joan spoke about being evacuated to Wales during the war, Mavis said she learnt to drive all around Wales- and when challenging the residents on Welsh trivia, it turns out Nancy and Barry can say the longest name of a Welsh place perfectly!

Wow, what a week we have had at Green Willow. From pimms and manicures in the garden💅🏼 crosswords to keep our cogs turning🧠 our weekly Green Willow Warblers choir to keep us jolly🎵 an armchair travel day to London 🇬🇧 followed by Nick’s skittles🎳 gardening club 🍃 Pete’s weekly exercise class 💪🏼 and we even took a trip to Arundel castle! 🏰

Fair to say our residents will be sleeping well after our week of sunshine and activities! ☀️
