🌈 Less than a week to go!

The talented TeleGate Theatre Productions return to Retford Kings' Park with The Wizard of Oz next Monday 10th August, the first of three fantastic family-friendly shows coming to Panto in the Park this summer 🦁👠

📅 All performances start at 2pm and last approximately 50 minutes.

🎟️ Entry is completely free and there's no need to book. Just bring a chair, blanket or picnic and enjoy an afternoon of outdoor entertainment in the park.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Children must be accompanied and supervised by a responsible adult throughout the performance.

We are so lucky to have Angela on our team at Physio Pilates Retford. Angela teaches 4 weekly Pilates classes at Physio Pilates Retford; although her Monday morning classes are both full, she does have live online spaces in her Tuesday evening class, and a few spaces in her Thursday lunchtime class for both in-person or live online.

Angela’s Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy treatment is so highly sought after, her diaries are currently full, and her waiting list is closed until September / October 2026!

When asked about her career, Angela replied “Being able to work as a Physiotherapist and Pilates teacher is a unique privilege and I thoroughly enjoy the daily opportunities and varied challenges it presents.”

Tricia (Associate Physiotherapist)
• Chartered Physiotherapist since 1982 (44 Years Experience)
• Teaching Pilates since 2017
• Joined Physio Pilates Retford in 2017
• Accredited PD Warrier (Parkinson’s) Instructor in 2017
• Lectured at local, regional and national Parkinson’s events

After working 34 years in the NHS, Tricia retired in October 2016. In 2017, she returned to work part-time at Physio Pilates Retford. In addition to her Neurological Physiotherapy, Elderly Rehabilitation and Pilates treatments both at our clinic or in your own home (within a 10-mile radius), Tricia teaches our weekly “Parkinson’s Conqueror” classes – a more intense exercise class for people with Parkinson’s in the early stages of the condition.

Tricia is often described as a “dedicated, highly skilled professional who consistently goes above & beyond in her care, understands complex needs, communicates in manageable ways, and builds trusting relationships” (feedback directly from an email earlier this year).

Clare (Associate Physiotherapist)
• Chartered Physiotherapist since 2006 (20 Years Experience)
• Teaching Pilates since 2014
• Joined Physio Pilates Retford in 2014

Clare teaches our Thursday evening Pilates classes at Physio Pilates Retford while also working part-time in community neurological Physiotherapy for the NHS in Bassetlaw. Her passion for Pilates started with attending classes for her own health and wellbeing and experiencing the benefits first-hand (hypermobility syndrome and then throughout her first pregnancy until the week before labour!).

Clare has always had an interest in movement analysis, starting dance lessons at an early age and teaching dancing throughout her teenage years. She enjoys combining her experiences of dance, Physiotherapy & Pilates in her teaching at Pilates Clinic Retford.

Clare’s Thursday 6.30pm and 7.30pm classes both currently have a few spaces for new or returning members 😊

Nicky now teaches 6 Pilates classes each week at Physio Pilates Retford while continuing to work part-time in community rehabilitation Physiotherapy with Rotherham NHS foundation. Her bubbly personality, her dynamic approach, and her ability to adapt exercises for many medical conditions and injuries due to her breadth of Physiotherapy expertise, make Nicky’s classes very popular and only a few spaces are available for new or returning members (Monday evenings, Tuesday daytime and Wednesday evenings).

Jo worked in the NHS for 13 years before moving to Retford with her husband’s work in 2012; this was very shortly after she started her formal Pilates training journey with the APPI (having already practiced the discipline for 4 years for her own health and wellbeing). Physio Pilates Retford was launched in January 2013, and she has never looked back!

Jo loves being able to offer highly specialist Neurological Physiotherapy, Elderly Rehabilitation and Pilates right here in Retford, and she says it was a privilege to spend 7 years lecturing nationally for the APPI, sharing her Physiotherapy and Pilates expertise with other healthcare professionals and Pilates instructors across the UK.

Jo currently teaches 3 mat-based Pilates classes and 1 Neuro-specific class (sitting with some options in standing). All Jo’s mat-based classes are currently full, but she has a few spaces in her neuro class (Thursday lunchtimes). She also offers private Pilates mat-based and/or Reformer sessions, and of course private neurological Physiotherapy and elderly rehabilitation treatments.

RETFORD'S ORIGINAL PILATES IN THE PARK

SAVE THE DATE – Friday 11th September 2026, 6.15pm for a 6.30pm start.

Physio Pilates Retford have been hosting Pilates in the Park since 2017 and have once again obtained permission from Bassetlaw District Council to run our FREE outdoors event this September 😊.

Come and meet our amazing team of Physiotherapists, experience a taster of our Physio-led Pilates classes in Retford’s gorgeous local Kings Park, and then participants are welcome to join us for pizza in the pub at Retford Craft House after the class too.

The class will be taught by one of our highly experienced Physiotherapists, with an additional 2-3 Physiotherapists watching your technique, and giving advice and correcting or modifying exercises where required to meet your own personal needs.
