Baxter’s recovery is a lovely reminder that dogs are so much more than pets - they’re family. ❤️

When Baxter developed IVDD, his family was already going through an incredibly difficult time, and it really was a team effort to support his recovery.

After months of exercise restriction and rehabilitation, it is wonderful to hear Baxter is back to his old self - and most importantly, back to his big brother duties. 🐾❤️

Thank you for trusting me with his care. Stories like Baxter’s are why I love what I do. 🤍

Setting young sporting dogs up for success ✨ 🐾

Today I had the pleasure of meeting 15 month old golden sisters, Tuuli and Viza, ahead of starting their competitive agility and flyball journeys.

Their owners are already doing a fantastic job with foundation conditioning and taking the time to build up slowly - exactly what we love to see!

Early foundation work helps develop strength, balance and coordination, reducing injury risk and supporting long, healthy sporting careers 🐶 ✨

After achieving my PGDip in Veterinary Physiotherapy last year, I’m now working towards my MSc at Hartpury University (because 6 years of studying just isn't enough)!

I’m running a research project exploring how equine physiotherapists assess rounding reflexes such as the sternal lift and caudal pelvic tilt. These are important and commonly used movements which physiotherapists stimulate to evaluate horses' spinal range of movement, coordination, core stability and neuromuscular control.

The aim is to develop a standardised, evidence-based grading scale to support more consistent and reliable physiotherapy assessment.

If you’re an ACPAT or RAMP registered equine physiotherapist with at least two years’ equine experience, I’d be really grateful for your input. Participation is fully remote and involves completing short online surveys, with the option to take part in later phases of the project.

Please see the poster below for more details. The survey link is in the comments, or feel free to message me directly if you’d like more information.
