International Friendship Day! Friends and community are important. Reach out to your friends and check they’re ok. Make sure they don’t feel lonely or forgotten. Accept their quirks, forgive and reconnect. We’re all unique and meant to be. Don't wait until tomorrow or next Monday or next month. Take action today. Let's reach out to the people in our life. Everyone needs a hug every now and then. Reconnect! You’re not alone, let others know that they’re not alone.

Sometimes it feels like we get so much thrown at us that we can hardly keep up. While it is important to learn to say no and look after ourselves to achieve balance in life, it can also be easy to just give up. So here’s a reminder to assess the situation before you do so. Don’t see the obstacles, see instead how far you’ve already come. Don’t see the problems but the finish line ahead of you. Imagine how wonderful you’ll feel once you’ve achieved your goal. You are stronger than you think. You can do it!
If you need support along the way, let’s chat. I offer a free 15mins consultation: [email protected]

Smile at the world and the world will smile back at you. Smiling is therapeutic and has a positive effect on our even pretending! Children laugh about 300 times a day, adults only 15. Smiling more will make you feel better. So why not conjure up happy memories, watch something funny, search for jokes, look at old photos, smile at yourself in the mirror or anyone on the street or a shop assistant? It’ll produce a positive biological reaction on your neurotransmitters, lift your mood and give you more energy . Try it!

You are allowed to outgrow old versions of yourself.
The version that said yes to everything. The version that thought rest had to be earned. The version that believed being calm and being successful couldn't exist in the same life.
I held onto that version of myself for a long time. It took panic attacks, exhaustion and a fair amount of soul searching before I was finally willing to let her go and become someone new.
Growth doesn't mean rejecting who you used to be. It simply means recognising that you've learned, you've changed and you don't have to keep carrying patterns that no longer serve you.
Whoever you are becoming, she's worth the journey. 💜

Anyone else's brain doing this?
My brain at 10.30pm: remembers every single thing I forgot to do today, creates to-do lists for the next day or even week ahead, including shopping lists and random tasks and creates confidence I'll still remember all of this in the morning as I'm too tired to write it all down.

My brain at 8.30am when I actually need to remember those things: completely blank. It all seemed so clear last night, why do I remember these things when I'm tired and not when I'm actually awake? 😄
Anyone else's brain do this?
Jokes aside, this used to genuinely stress me out until I started keeping a little notebook by my bed. Whatever pops into my head at night goes straight onto the page instead of looping round and round and I get to be more productive next morning having my to-do list already there.
Sometimes the simplest fixes really are the best ones.
What strange things does your brain do and what's your solution? Let's all just share best practices and funny moments to have a laugh!

Change is a process, not an event. When you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change. Ask yourself, what would a close friend or family member say or do in your situation? Are there any other explanations or viewpoints to consider? What else is possible? Know that you are never stuck. If it feels like there's no way out, perhaps there's a way through!
I help people making important life changes, see things in a new way and move beyond limitations. If you need help, feel free to get in touch: [email protected]

Feeling at ease, calm and peaceful was never about having a perfect life.
I used to think I'd feel calm once everything was sorted, once the to-do list was finished or when I felt like I'd achieved enough, proven enough, done enough.
That day never came and somehow I feel that it never will, for any of us, because life simply doesn't work that way.
What changed everything for me wasn't fixing my circumstances, it was learning how to feel calm and steady even while life carried on being busy, messy and imperfect.
That's the real shift, not a perfect life or a super amazing relationship or career but knowing how important you are and that you deserve a break, self-love, compassion and self-care moments!
Wishing you a calm and gentle start to July. 💜
