Last week we said goodnight for the last time to this beautiful lady!! πŸ’”
Our hearts are heavy, our eyes are wet she will be so sadly missed.

Our wonderful Mrs R πŸ’–

2 years of looking after her, started with abit of cleaning. To a couple of calls a day right up to 5 visits a day and over night stays. I had the pleasure of visiting her 6 days a week and learning all of her little ways.

We had amazing days out with her. Drusillas, the seafront for ice creams, the park to feed the ducks, walks with the dogs, Arlington reservoir for bacon sandwiches, her last trip was the garden centre where we found the biggest chocolate cake. Her smile on every trip made our hearts burst and know we had made her day. πŸ’–

She was a joy to care for. She may have been tiny but she had the biggest heart. Always made us smile. Rarely complained. Cracked jokes and often had us laughing so hard πŸ₯°

She will be deeply missed by us both.

Sending our love to all her family. 2 daughters, 2 sons, 2 daughter in laws, 1 son in law. So many grandchildren and even great grandchildren. The most beautiful family who adored their mum, nanny and great nanny 🩷🩷

We visited the garden centre today πŸ₯°
Our beautiful Mrs R found it hilarious when we grabbed a chocolate cake and done a runner. πŸ˜‚ not literally off course. Seeing her smile and her telling me she had the most beautiful day meant the world.
It's crazy how an hour and a half at the garden centre and a trip out of home can make all the difference to a day for our lovely ladies. 🩷🩷

Sometimes our work days don't end and they run into the night/all night and then back straight to it again in the morning. But being asked to do care for a loved one is such a compliment. To be chosen to care right til the end is a huge privilege. And believe me we cry every single time. As our ladies and gents mean so much to us.

After 24 hours of a shift and 10 hours to go. We are dedicated, committed and there every single step.

We are so grateful to everyone's support for us!! Whether it's leaving a review, passing on our names and numbers, allowing us into your homes. Even to our families who make sure we have something to eat in our 15 minute gap or that cuddle once we have finished a hard shift. We will always be there to support, help and love your family members πŸ©΅πŸ©·πŸ’›

We see you all. Thank you!!! ❀️❀️

Myself and kerry would love to wish our clients, their families and all our wonderful supporters a really happy Christmas. πŸŽ„πŸŽ‰β˜ƒοΈπŸŽ…πŸŽ
We are so grateful to every single one of you for choosing us to care for your families, for our clients who give us as much joy as we give them. To everyone that has continued to support us on this journey of home care. Thank you πŸ’–

We are also thinking of those who are without their loved one this year.

Especially sending love and wishes of a gentle Christmas to three of our beautiful families. Mrs A family. 🩷
Mrs S family. 🩷
And Mr S family. πŸ’™

Three beautiful people who said goodnight for the last time this year.

A huge thought to Mrs S family who not only is this the first Christmas with her no longer here but also her first birthday too.

We love you all xx

This week we said goodnight to one of our wonderful gentlemen. πŸ’™
It's amazing the impact they have on our lives as much as we do for them.

He was a true joy to care for. It took a few days for him to warm to us but after that we were singing and dancing and smiling our way til the end. In 7 short weeks we grew to adore him, spending up to 4 hours a day getting to know him and what a pleasure it was.

We will forever be singing "nothing, 1, 2, 3" he was a gentlemen in every sense of the word.

Goodnight Mr S. Thank you for having us. πŸ’™

4 years ago this month we came together to set up Mulberry Blooms Home Care!!

We started as 2 people who were connected by the beautiful Mary. Kerrys nanny and the lady I adored and cared for for years.

What a 4 years it's been!!

In 4 years we have said goodnight to many lovely ladiesπŸ’œ and gentlemen πŸ’™ who have touched our hearts. ❀️ we have met the most amazing families and stayed in touch with almost all of them. Our care and love doesn't end when the person we are caring for goes into a home or closes their eyes for the last time. ###

The best thing of all is we get 90% of our work through word of mouth and honoured that people choose us to care for their relatives until they pass.

So so so proud of us!! It has been so bloody hard at times. Long hours including visits during the nights. End of life care and many traumatic experiences. But the feedback we have from our clients and families, the memories we help them create and the smiles we get makes it all worth it.

Happy 4 years to us. What a way to celebrate singing our hearts out at the spice Girls πŸ’–πŸ’–πŸ’–

Last week we said goodbye to one of our beautiful ladies for the last time. Plenty of tissues were needed for the most purest of souls.

Mrs S. We visited you for about a year and a half. You were the most beautiful lady (inside and out). With the most amazing skin! We always complimented you on how incredible you looked. We loved watching your bond with your wonderful husband.
We could listen to you for hours singing away. Having a little dance. You knew almost every song that was played and your eyes sparkled when you sang.
You touched our hearts so much. Your whit and sense of humour had us in stitches at times. You were so playful but so loving. Even though you were living with dementia you made sure everyone around you felt love. You always asked everyone if they were okay.

Your family are the most incredible family we have ever met. Your bonds and your love for one another shone through every time you spoke of them.

We will remember and love you always and we are so honoured you let us into your heart too.

Any time we hear an abba song. Your face is what we will see and remember.

Goodnight Mrs S. πŸ’–πŸ’–

🌟⭐️🌟 Thank you to everyone that sponsored our lovely ladies for the starlight stroll!! 🌟⭐️🌟

Unfortunately the night before the walk our beautiful Mrs G had a fall and wasn't well enough to come and Mrs A also was unable to attend. But in last minute decisions we decided to do what we do best and make it fun. We had 2 lovely ladies that also gave up their evenings to be pushed along the seafront by us and gosh did we know it on Hollywell hill. 🩷🩷

But hey who can say they have been pushed in a wheelchair by big bird and a swimmer 🀣 xx

Two of our lovely ladies are doing the starlight walk for St wilfrids on Saturday. Mrs G and Mrs A. 🩷🩷

Due to them being in their 90s and having been in hospital recently we are going to be pushing them in wheelchairs. But they will still enjoy the challenge and love getting involved.

If anyone would like to sponsor them we are doing it in memory of Mrs As daughter who passed away this year to cancer πŸ˜₯ xx

Care work to some may seem you just go in and give them a wash and some breakfast and leave.

But to us it's about giving them life. Life isn't over if you have to use a wheelchair or get to a certain age.

It's been amazing to create time to take one of our lovely clients to drusillas to see all the animals and watch the young children play and smile. (Things they miss from their grown up children).

We also took another client and their daughter to the seafront. Had ice creams. Had a lovely long walk and talked about all their memories doing it as a family with their late husband/dad.

We have also visited hampden park to feed the ducks.

The smiles and happy conversations for days after make it so worth while. We love our job and we love creating memories for our lovely ladies even when they are all over 90 πŸ₯°πŸ₯°
