Summer holidays can bring fun and relaxation, but they can also feel overwhelming.

Changes in routine, family pressures, loneliness, or simply trying to keep everything together can take their toll.

If you're finding things difficult, you don't have to face it alone. Counselling provides a safe, confidential space to talk and be heard.

๐Ÿ’› We're here when you're ready.

Just as we look after our physical health, our mental and emotional wellbeing deserve the same care and attention. You don't have to wait until you're in crisis to seek support. Counselling can help you navigate stress, life changes, relationships, grief, anxiety, or simply provide a space to reflect and grow.

The more we talk openly about counselling, the more we help break the stigma that stops people from getting the support they deserve.

It's okay to ask for help. It's okay to talk. And it's okay to put your mental health first. ๐ŸŒฟ

To begin your counselling journey today, please call us on 01323 502827. Or please email [email protected] to speak to a member of our friendly admin team.

Counselling is a space where you can be heard without judgment.

It offers a safe, confidential environment to explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences with a trained professional. Together, you'll gain a deeper understanding of yourself, your relationships, and the patterns that shape your life.

A counsellor won't tell you what to do or make decisions for you. Instead, they'll support you in finding your own answers, building healthier coping strategies, and creating meaningful, lasting change at your own pace. ๐ŸŒฟ

Iโ€™m gutted to hear the news that the inspirational Betty Gallacher, Founder of Eastbourne Pride, has died.

Betty spent her life fighting.

๐ŸŽ–๏ธShe volunteered to fight for our country in the armed forces (before she was awfully discharged because of her sexuality).

โœŠ She fought for workers as a tireless leader in the trade union movement.

๐Ÿณ๏ธโ€๐ŸŒˆ She fought for members of the LGBT community across the country - and most latterly in Eastbourne - to ensure they got the rights, respect and dignity they deserve (particularly through the Bourne Out LGBT charity and cafe that she ran with her devoted partner Mandy).

Something I loved about her in particular is that she had a vision and was relentless in pursuing it - she got stuff done and took no prisoners (Betty didnโ€™t suffer fools and rightly so). We need more people like that in this world.

She also had a brilliant sense of humour and her witty deadpan comments cracked me up (you can see the laughs she brought us in the photo - Betty is in the scooter).

Betty made a remarkable contribution to the life of our community and country, and we must never forget what sheโ€™s done for us. Iโ€™m proud to have recognised her contributions by mentioning her in the House of Commons last year, and I will continue to honour her legacy.

๐Ÿ’› Iโ€™m sure the town will join me in sending condolences and best wishes to Mandy and Bettyโ€™s wider group of loved ones during this sad time, during this Pride Month and beyond.
