✨ MEET THE TEAM MONDAY ✨
The loss of Ashley’s grandad in 2013 changed everything for him. On the day of the funeral, a lifelong friend of Ashley’s grandad, Reg, drove the hearse. Reg provided reassurance and guidance when Ashley carried his grandad’s coffin into the service and to his final resting place. He mentioned to Ashley how well he did and suggested he take up a role within the industry. Ashley slept on it and decided to give Karen a call…2 weeks later Ashley found himself on his first funeral with Nick and Nick’s brother, Jason. He developed the necessary skill set to grow as a funeral director. Fast forward 13 years, Ashley says he feels privileged to be working alongside Nick and Karen. Ashley is forever grateful especially to Nick, Karen and Karen's late father Richard for the invaluable amount of knowledge he has gained.
As a funeral director, Ashley’s day to day duties are always different. He could be meeting families, taking a loved one of their final journey, making funeral arrangements, bringing loved ones into our care, engraving coffin plates/grave markers, car cleaning, and everything in between!
Ashley prides himself on being able to support families throughout their journey, lightening the load and bringing all the details together to help families create a truly personal tribute.
Outside of Willows, Ashley loves to spend time with his wife Sian and 3 children Kimberley, Zack and Lily. They enjoy visits to Bodium Castle and London. Ashley likes to watch Kimberley play rugby, support Zack with scouts and visit museums with Lily. He likes to find the time, if possible, to cook a Sunday roast or have a meal out with Sian. Ashley says “caring for our families as well as yours is at the heart of everything we do at Willows”.
