🌍 AROUND THE WORLD AT CAMELOT! 🌍

What an incredible afternoon we had at Camelot for our Around the World Party!

Our residents, families, friends and staff came together for an afternoon full of music, laughter, delicious food and plenty of colourful celebrations.

A very special thank you to the Mayor of Eastbourne, Margaret Bannister, for joining us and helping to make our celebrations so memorable. It was a pleasure to have you with us.

We were also delighted to welcome Adam back to Camelot, who once again entertained us beautifully with his violin playing and singing. 🎻 Thank you, Adam, for bringing so much joy to our residents — we always love having you!

And of course, a huge thank you to our wonderful cook Liz, who pulled out all the stops and prepared the most amazing Around the World buffet! There was something from all corners of the globe and it looked absolutely fantastic.

We would also like to say a massive thank you to all of our amazing staff who worked so hard behind the scenes to decorate, prepare, serve, entertain and make the afternoon possible. It truly was a team effort!

Finally, thank you to all of our families and friends who came along to celebrate with us. Having you there made the day even more special for our residents. ❤️

From Union Jack dresses to international flags, delicious food, fantastic entertainment and lots of smiles — Camelot certainly travelled the world without leaving the garden!

What a wonderful day filled with laughter, happiness and memories that we’ll treasure.

Our residents had a fantastic time getting creative in the kitchen during today’s pizza making session! Everyone enjoyed choosing their own toppings, preparing their pizzas, and of course, tasting the delicious results.

Cooking activities are a wonderful way to encourage independence, spark conversation, and bring back fond memories, all while having plenty of fun together.

There were lots of smiles, laughter, and some very impressive pizza creations. Well done to everyone who took part – we can’t wait for our next culinary adventure! 🍕❤️

🎉 Happy Birthday, William! 🎉

To celebrate William’s special day, Debbie and Molly treated him to a birthday lunch at the Beachy Head Pub. 🍽️🎂

William had a wonderful time enjoying a delicious meal, taking in the beautiful surroundings, and celebrating his special day with plenty of smiles and laughter. It was lovely to see him so happy and making the most of his birthday.

🚓 A Special Visit from Sussex Police 🚓

On Friday, we were delighted to welcome PCSO Dan from Sussex Police to Camelot Residential Home for a fascinating morning with our residents.

Dan gave an informative and engaging talk about staying safe from scams, sharing valuable advice alongside some incredible stories from his many years of service in the police. Our residents were fully engaged throughout, asking some fantastic questions and enjoying the opportunity to handle some historic police equipment, including old batons and handcuffs.

One particularly heartwarming moment was seeing Sydney and Dan chatting together. Dan was amazed by Sydney’s remarkable age, and the pair shared a wonderful conversation as Sydney reminisced about his younger days growing up in Tottenham. Before leaving, Dan shook Sydney’s hand and thanked him for his lifetime of love, care, and contribution to others—a truly touching moment that everyone enjoyed witnessing.

To top off a memorable visit, Dan chose Sydney for the very special honour of trying on his police helmet, which brought plenty of smiles all around!

A huge thank you to PCSO Dan for taking the time to visit us. Your kindness, stories, and important advice made for a memorable morning that our residents thoroughly enjoyed. 👮💙

This morning, our wonderful residents enjoyed getting involved in a cooking session, helping to prepare a variety of fresh vegetables. It was a fantastic opportunity to keep hands busy, encourage conversation, share memories of favourite family recipes, and enjoy working together as a team.

Cooking activities are a great way to promote independence, confidence, and wellbeing, while creating plenty of smiles along the way. We can’t wait to enjoy the delicious meal they’ve helped prepare! 💚

Today, we celebrate all fathers and father figures who have shaped lives through love, guidance, strength, and care.

At Camelot Residential Home, we recognise that fatherhood comes in many forms—biological fathers, stepfathers, foster fathers, adoptive fathers, those we have lost, and the men who continue to influence our lives through their kindness and support.

On this Father’s Day, we honour the memories we cherish, the bonds we hold close, and the everyday acts of love that make a difference.

To all dads, grandads, father figures, and those remembered with love—thank you for the role you play in our lives.

What a lovely day at the care home today! 🎉🎂🚲

We celebrated Helen’s birthday with a beautiful cake and lots of smiles as everyone came together to make her day extra special. Wishing Helen a very happy birthday! 💐

Meanwhile, William enjoyed a wonderful rickshaw ride with our fantastic cook, Harry. The two of them even braved the rain for their adventure — proving a little weather can’t stop the fun! 🌧️😊

Days like these are what make our home so special ❤️

Yesterday we celebrated VE Day with a wonderful afternoon tea enjoyed by our residents and staff 🇬🇧☕🍰

The room was filled with smiles, laughter, and lovely memories as everyone came together to mark such an important occasion. From delicious sausage rolls to beautiful cakes and freshly baked scones, the afternoon was a real treat for all.

A huge thank you to our amazing cook Liz for preparing all of the wonderful food, cakes, and scones — everything was absolutely delicious and so beautifully presented ❤️
