Is false positive really a thing with thermography?

Thermograms cannot have a high false positive rate as they cannot find cancerous lumps. The scanner only sees inflammation in the body so the Thermologist can see and interpret patterns in the breast; whether it is a cystic pattern or a cancer formation pattern.

The patient is advised to go for a further investigation to aid in diagnosis of what is seen on the thermogram. Thermograms can detect changes in breast tissue as early as two years of the cancer forming.

Thermographic scans are 83% reliable in breast scans as 17% of lumps are thermographically silent (they are fully grown so do not have a blood feed so they become a structure.) Mammograms, MRI, Ultrasound see structure.

You service your car every year without a second thought.

You check the oil. You replace the tyres before they fail. You don't wait for the engine warning light before you act — because by then, something has already gone wrong.

So why do most of us wait for symptoms before we look at what's happening inside our bodies?

Thermography is physiological imaging. It detects changes in heat patterns and blood flow — functional changes that can be present before structural changes appear on other scans. It's not a diagnosis. It's an early warning system.

I spent 36 years as a nurse. I saw, more times than I can count, what a difference it makes when something is caught early. That's why I became a Clinical Thermographer. And that's why I believe an annual thermographic scan should be as normal as an annual MOT.
