Bank Holiday Closure Reminder

Springfield Medical Centre will be closed on Bank Holiday Monday and will reopen as normal on Tuesday.

If you need medical advice while we’re closed, please contact NHS 111. For a life-threatening emergency, always call 999. 💚

We hope everyone has a lovely and safe Bank Holiday weekend!

Missed appointments are recorded as a DNA (Did Not Attend) and unfortunately mean that appointment can’t be offered to another patient who may need it.

If you can’t attend, please cancel as soon as possible. 💚

What do our Receptionists & Care Navigators actually do?

You’ll often see our lovely faces welcoming you on reception — but there’s also lots happening behind the scenes! 😊

📞 When we’re not at the front desk, we may be in the back answering your phone calls, taking messages, managing appointments and helping make sure you’re directed to the right person for the right care.

💻 We also carry out a huge amount of administration that keeps the practice running smoothly, including processing private medical work, insurance forms, reports and letters.

Our Reception and Care Navigation team work closely with our clinical team every day to help patients, answer queries and keep everything moving behind the scenes.

So, whether you see us at the desk or hear our voice at the end of the phone — we’re here to help! 💙

A little kindness and patience goes a long way, especially during our busiest times. Thank you for supporting our team. 🫶

☀️ HOT WEATHER ALERT ☀️

With temperatures set to rise this week, Springfield Medical Centre is encouraging everyone to stay safe and look after themselves during the heat. 💚

💧 Drink plenty of water
🧴 Wear sunscreen and reapply regularly
🕶️ Stay in the shade during the hottest part of the day
👒 Wear light clothing, a hat and sunglasses
👵 Check in on elderly neighbours, friends and family

If you begin to feel unwell due to the heat, move to a cool place, rest and stay hydrated.
