This week we celebrated Learning Disability Week at Meadowbank Sports Centre with Edinburgh Leisure and other partners to support people with learning disabilities with music, art, football, exercise activities and much more.

We're pleased to welcome Councillor Lezley Marion Cameron DL as the new Chair of the Edinburgh Integration Joint Board.

Councillor Cameron said:

This week we welcomed Minister for Community Care Alison Thewliss SNP MSP to Leith Treatment Centre to find out more about Annual Health Checks for People with Learning Disabilities.
She met with Cher from Down's Syndrome Scotland to find out more about the health checks and why they are important.
