What a fantastic National Day of Play! 🎉

Lesley-Ann and Rachel from the Play Team spent some of today highlighting how toys, sensory resources and play can be used during procedures and tests to help make hospital experiences less daunting and more enjoyable for patients.

A big thank you to Fairy Bricks for the LEGO that kept our patients busy and creative, and to Rays of Sunshine Children's Charity for providing our wonderful sensory kits.

We loved meeting everyone who stopped by today. Thanks for your support!

We were delighted to welcome Emily & Colin Champion from The Little Miss Champion Trust yesterday.

They are currently on a walking holiday and wanted to visit the RHCYP, Edinburgh to hand in various items including XBox controllers, musical books, baby toys and a range of other activity books in memory of their daughter Imogen.

Thank you to Sylvia Gilhooley for another supply of our pocket buddies. They are so adorable! These special buddies are going straight to our Emergency Department to be handed out to children and young people who attend. Here's Margaret and Sara from the Play Team with all their new buddies.💙
