Pain during training doesn’t automatically mean you need to stop.

In many cases, the better option is to modify, manage, and work through the issue rather than avoiding movement altogether.

The goal is understanding:
• What aggravates it
• What can still be trained
• How to keep progressing without making things worse

Good rehab and good coaching should work together not separately.

If you’re struggling with an injury but still want to train, message us to discuss how we can help.

Technique can make a huge difference to an exercise- from small changes to help you lift alot more to making an exercise harder so you can get more from it.

I think step ups often get overlooked as an exercise but a few small changes really change it up

If this sounds like you, you’re not broken you’re just underprepared for the demands you’re placing on your body.

That’s something you can fix.

We help people bridge that gap with structured, progressive training that actually builds capacity not just short-term symptom relief.

If you’re dealing with ongoing pain or recurring injuries, and you want a clear plan to move forward, get in touch.

Send a message or book in for a consultation.

Rehab isn’t the end goal.
It’s the starting point.

If your rehab never gets challenging, it’s not preparing you for what you want to go back to.

Real life has demands.
Your rehab should reflect that.

With capacity type problems where you are getting pain doing physical/ demanding tasks looking at the pain in isolation is a difficult way to measure progress.

But if you pin the pain on to a performance marker - such as distance ran, weight lifted, hours worked etc you can measure the pain relative to demand to ensure your capacity is increasing.

Once your capacity exceeds the demand- pain will stop.

You still need to put limits onto the discomfort though
