Yesterday, here at The Manor, we were entertained with having the CareFest Fringe festival come to our grounds in what was an incredible day all round ☀️🎭

Firstly we had the hoop babes perform some incredible tricks with Hula hoops, fire and even including a family member and staff member 😅

Afterwards we had some classical music performed by the Harris Quartet who show classed some exceptional classical music from around the world 🎻

On behalf of the manner we thank to thank everyone who came to enjoy the shows and also to our incredible staff who organised and helped out on the day 👏🏻

What a beautiful day out for our Manor Care Home residents! 🎨✨

We recently took a trip to the National Galleries of Scotland, and it was absolutely wonderful watching our residents soak up the art and atmosphere. From classic Scottish landscapes to stunning portraits, each painting seemed to spark a story—memories of childhood visits, Edinburgh in days gone by, or simply a shared moment of wonder.

Of course, no gallery trip is complete without a stop at the café! A relaxing cuppa and some tasty treats rounded off the afternoon perfectly, with plenty of smiles and chat around the table. ☕️🍰

Days like these are so special to us. They're about connection, joy, and making new memories together. A huge thank you to our amazing care team, who worked so hard to make this trip safe, comfortable, and unforgettable for everyone. ❤️

With her calm presence, kindness, and genuine commitment to person‑centred care, Shana makes a meaningful difference every single day. Families feel reassured. Residents feel valued. And our team? We're simply proud to have her shining so brightly among us.

Philippe is recognised for his unwavering dedication and can‑do spirit. No task is ever too hard, and no request is ever too small or too big – he always steps in with a smile and gives his very best. His willingness to help anyone, anytime, truly lifts the whole team.

And let's not forget… he also makes the best porridge in the home – loved by residents! 😋
