We had a wonderful Residents' and Families' Afternoon at Aaron House Care Home, with our very special animal friends from Menagerie Edinburgh bringing lots of smiles and joy to everyone. A huge thank you to Les and the team for such a fantastic visit. We also had a couple of fundraising stalls to help raise a few pennies for our residents' fund, which will go towards special outings and enjoyable activities throughout the year. Thank you to everyone who came along and supported us—it was a lovely afternoon enjoyed by all.

We had a lovely day at our very own Care Home Dog Show! Our residents' families and staff brought in their wonderful dogs to take part. Our residents were the judges and loved meeting all the dogs. Every dog was so well behaved and received a certificate and a little bag of treats. It was a fantastic experience that brought lots of smiles, laughter, and happiness to our residents. Thank you to everyone who took part and made it such a special day!

Had a lovely wee trip to Pentland Plants for a cuppa and a slice of cake, followed by a look round the plants and garden displays. A lovely setting, good company, and a very enjoyable afternoon. 🌿☕🍰

"We had a lovely visit from therapy ponies Flicker and Wilson this morning at the care home. The residents really enjoyed meeting them, giving them lots of fuss and attention. It was wonderful to see so many smiles and hear everyone chatting about the ponies and sharing memories of animals they had known. Flicker and Wilson were so calm and gentle, and their visit brightened everyone's morning. A big thank you to their handlers, Elaine and John, for bringing them to see us and making it such a special and memorable experience for all our residents."

Today we took our residents on a trip to the museum, where they enjoyed seeing some really lovely exhibits. We then had lunch together and spent quality time out and about. It was a fantastic day, and everyone had a wonderful time! 😊

So lovely when our community comes together for our annual gala day all the amazing floats pipe bands and brass band then to penicuik rugby club for the traditional hunter and lass reel

We were very happy to welcome Katie Hamilton & Aaron Craig who will be this years hunter and lass along with Fraser Howie and Emma Anderson, and Stuart Gillies we were very honoured and really appreciated them stopping to take time with each individual resident and make their day a bit more special👏❤️
