From Garden to Gift: A Lavender-Filled Day 🪻✨

Our residents spent the day harvesting beautiful lavender from the garden. Their patience, dedication and teamwork have truly paid off!

Thanks to their hard work, we now have lovely handmade lavender bags and luxurious lavender sugar scrub ready for our next community event, once the new date is confirmed. 🌿

The home was filled with the wonderful scent of fresh lavender throughout the day, creating a calm and uplifting atmosphere. It was heartwarming to see everyone working together, sharing stories and enjoying the satisfaction of creating something special.

Well done to everyone involved for making such beautiful items and wonderful memories along the way!

A Taste of France at Forthland Lodge

Bonne fête nationale! 💙🤍❤️

Our Bastille Day celebrations were a wonderful success, bringing a little taste of France to Forthland Lodge. Residents enjoyed a delicious French-inspired lunch, followed by an engaging afternoon learning some simple French phrases.

There were plenty of smiles and laughter as residents practised new words and greetings, embracing the opportunity to learn something different while celebrating French culture.

It was a fantastic day filled with good food, great company and enjoyable experiences, all without leaving the comfort of home.

Merci beaucoup to everyone who took part and helped make the day so memorable!

Ice Cream Day Fun at Forthland Lodge

You scream, I scream, we all scream for ice cream!

To celebrate Ice Cream Day, we brought out our very own "Make Your Own Sundae" trolley, giving residents the chance to create their perfect ice cream treat. 🍨✨

From colourful sprinkles and sweet toppings to delicious sauces, everyone enjoyed choosing their favourites and crafting some truly impressive sundae masterpieces!

The afternoon was filled with smiles, laughter and plenty of tasty creations, making it a wonderful way to enjoy the sunny weather and spend time together.

Sometimes it's the simple pleasures that bring the greatest joy, and this celebration was certainly one to remember! 💫

What a wonderfully whimsical afternoon at Forthland Lodge! 🎩

Our Mad Hatters Tea Party brought a touch of Wonderland magic to the home, creating plenty of smiles, laughter and special moments for everyone to enjoy.

The wind certainly tried to make things interesting by whisking away a few hats, but it only added to the fun and excitement of the day! With colourful costumes, delicious tea and fantastic company, it was an afternoon filled with joy and memories.

A huge thank you to our wonderful residents and colleagues for embracing the occasion with such enthusiasm and bringing the magic to life. ✨

A Fantastic Armchair Movement Session! ✨💪

We were delighted to welcome Jason from Stronger Steps to Forthland Lodge for an engaging armchair movement class, and what a brilliant session it was!

Our residents embraced the activity with plenty of enthusiasm, laughter and energy, making for a fun-filled morning of movement and connection.

It was wonderful to see everyone getting involved, supporting one another and enjoying the many benefits that gentle exercise can bring. The smiles around the room said it all!

We hope Jason enjoyed meeting our lively and welcoming group as much as we enjoyed having him with us. We're already looking forward to his next visit! 🙌

Baby therapy brought pure joy to our lovely Isa, creating a truly special moment filled with smiles and cuddles.

Her face lit up with every gentle cuddle, highlighting just how meaningful these experiences can be in bringing comfort, happiness and connection.

It was wonderful to see the joy shared throughout the home, with residents and colleagues alike enjoying this heartwarming visit. Moments like these remind us of the importance of creating meaningful experiences that brighten the day and bring people together. 🌟

Our Resident Dancing Queen! 👑💃

At our Glow in the Dark Daytime Disco, Iris proved that you don't need to be standing to own the dance floor. Seated comfortably, she knew every move and had everyone smiling as she danced along to the music.

Iris spent time reminiscing about nights out at The Palais and The Cavendish in Edinburgh, sharing fond memories of dancing the night away with friends. It was wonderful to hear her stories and see those memories come flooding back through the music.

Not only did Iris show us all how it's done, but she also took it upon herself to teach some of the colleagues how to jive! ✨

A true dancer never forgets the steps, and Iris certainly hasn't. Our resident Dancing Queen continues to inspire us all with her energy, enthusiasm, and love of music.

A 5-Star Achievement Worth Celebrating! ⭐

We are absolutely delighted to share that Forthland Lodge has achieved a 5-star Care Inspectorate grading, rising from 4 stars to 5 stars!

Our home was filled with pride, joy and plenty of smiles as our wonderful Forthland family came together to celebrate this fantastic achievement.

This recognition reflects the dedication, compassion and commitment shown every day by our incredible colleagues, as well as the support of our residents, families and wider community. 🏡

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who has played a part in this success. Your kindness, encouragement and dedication shine through in everything we do, and we couldn’t be prouder.
