Sometimes Monday doesn't need more energy.

Sometimes it needs less.

A little movement
A little breathing
A little time to come back to yourself

My Monday Gentle Yoga Class is about exactly that - accessible Hatha Yoga, breathwork, relaxation and a little space to simply be.

🌿 Mondays at 10am
✨️ Art & Spirituality, Edinburgh
£10 per class

You don't need to be flexible.
You don't need to be experienced.
And you definitely don't need to touch your toes😅

Just come as you are.

If you're Monday could use a gentler beginning, I'd love to see you on the mat 💛

Friday yoga is BACK! 🥳🧘‍♀️💙

I’ve just realised I completely forgot to put my Friday morning yoga class back online after the holidays… 🤦‍♀️😂 So, if you’ve been wondering where it went — it wasn’t a conscious decision to abandon you all, I promise! 😂

Friday morning yoga is on as usual, and you can now book online again. As always, you can also just turn up and pay cash or card — whatever works best for you. 💙

I’ve also been rather busy behind the scenes working on something very close to my heart… Angel Gel™ ✨👼

The website has had a little makeover and I’m SO happy with how it’s looking. If you haven’t had a peek yet, please do! Especially have a look at the About Us page, which tells the story of why Angel Gel was created in the first place. It’s a story I absolutely love, and it’s such a big part of why Angel Gel means so much to me. 💙

So… Friday yoga, a shiny new website and Angel Gel’s story finally getting the space it deserves. Not a bad week! 😇

Hope to see some of you on the mat Friday morning! 🧘‍♀️🌿

Another beautiful Self Care Sunday spent reconnecting with ourselves in the peaceful surroundings of Saughton Park. While the sunshine wasn't quite as enthusiastic as it has been on previous weeks, the weather was still wonderfully warm and comfortable for our gentle yoga practice—and thankfully the Scottish weather was kind enough to keep the rain away! 🌤️

So often we put everyone else's needs before our own, giving our time, energy, and care without stopping to check how full our own cup is. Self-care isn't selfish; it's essential. When we take even a small amount of time to nurture ourselves, we create the space to show up more fully for our families, friends, work, and communities.

Watching everyone arrive a little tired and leave feeling lighter, calmer, and more connected is a beautiful reminder of why these sessions matter. Sometimes all it takes is an hour outdoors, a few deep breaths, gentle movement, and a supportive community to help restore balance.

Thank you to everyone who joined me this week. Whether you came for the yoga, the fresh air, the chance to slow down, or simply to fill your cup a little, I'm grateful to share these moments with you. 💚

If you've enjoyed one of our Self Care Sunday sessions, I'd love for you to leave a review when booking your next class. Your kind words help others discover these free community sessions and encourage more people to make time for themselves.

Remember: you can't pour from an empty cup. Fill yours first. 🌿✨

This week has honestly been one of the best weeks I've had in a long time, and yet nothing particularly special has happened.

No holidays, no celebrations, no major achievements.

The thing that has made it so amazing is simply being able to get back to living my normal life.

Since the accident in April, when I fell through some decking while away with some beautiful friends, life hasn't been quite the same. Things that I would normally do without even thinking suddenly became difficult or impossible. It has been frustrating at times and has really made me appreciate just how much we take our everyday lives for granted.

This week, I've found myself feeling grateful for the simplest things – being able to work, teach, move my body, practise yoga, spend time with people I love and just get on with life.

The experience has reinforced one of the Reiki principles for me: "Just for today, I will do my work honestly." When you're unable to do the work you love, you realise what a privilege it is to be able to show up and serve others. I can also see this reflected through Karma Yoga and Bhakti Yoga – offering our actions with devotion, gratitude and love.

What has surprised me most is how much this experience has made me realise that I genuinely love my life. Not because everything is perfect, but because of all the wonderful people, experiences and opportunities that fill it.

A lot of people have said, "That must have ruined your weekend." The truth is, it didn't. Thankfully it happened on the last day, and if anything, it reminded me how lucky I am.

It showed me just how caring, supportive and wonderful my friends are. Their kindness during and after the accident is something I will never forget.

Sometimes it takes losing something temporarily to realise how precious it really is.

This week, I'm simply grateful. Grateful for movement, grateful for health, grateful for work, grateful for friendship and grateful for the beautiful life I get to live every day. ❤️🙏

With no yoga this morning 🙏 this mornings walk turned into something a little bit magical ✨️

Me, Neil and Misty 🐾headed out with a simple idea 💡 each of us choose a colour and capture anything we spotted in that shade along the way 📸 what started a bit of fun quickly became something much more 🙌

By really looking for our colours ❤️💛 we noticed the tiny details we would usually pass by 🌱petals just beginning to open 🌷 fresh bursts of green 🌿little flashes of colour tucked into hedgerows and paths🪻Spring didn't just feel like a season🐣 it felt alive, unfolding right in front of us.

There is something so special about giving yourself permission to be present like that 🥰 to see the everyday with fresh eyes.

We created the photogrids of each colour at the end💛❤️ a snapshot of our walk and a reminder of how much beauty is always around us when we choose to notice it🧐

Maybe you can tell who had each colour 🤔 or maybe this inspires you to try this on your next walk 👣🐾 choose a colour and see what you discover 🌈
