We provide high quality person-centred rehabilitation services which support both adults with brain injuries and their carers. We know that brain injury can affect personalities as well as a person’s cognitive and physical abilities. Brain injury affects who we are - the way we think, act and feel.A brain injury can have a life changing effect on the individual, their families and carers. Some peo

ple will need to deal with significant and on-going difficulties with their memory, concentration, communication, emotions, behaviour, change of personalities as well as physical disability. These individuals may also face barriers when trying to re-enter the workplace and the wider community. We believe that everyone has something to contribute within Edinburgh Headway Group and the wider community – that every person with a brain injury should be valued, respected and deserves every opportunity to live a full and active life. We are committed to building our carer friendly community in Edinburgh!

From the Carers Week 2026 report, carers are still looking for peer support and better access to information. We host our Carers Space each month to provide a supportive community for unpaid carers! 💐

Thank you to all the unpaid carers for everything you do! We understand the challenges that you face and always want to do our best to help lighten the load, even just a little 🌼

Our Carers Space is open to everyone - not just carers who have a loved one in our service. Come along and have a blether in a relaxed, non-judgmental space 🫶

A huge congratulations to oor Emma who was presented with her Inspirational Volunteer Award on Tuesday! 🏆 .edinburgh

Emma has been volunteering with us since 2024 and has continued to make such a fantastic contribution to our service. She brings warmth, kindness and compassion to her role, helping to build confidence and meaningful relationships with members! 🌼 A strong example of her contribution is her involvement in cookery sessions, where she shares her passion for baking to encourage participation and social interaction 🧁

Emma goes above and beyond, during and outside our day service!
