It's a milestone for Emma Pratt today as she celebrates 10 years at William Purves.

Responsible for all things finance - Emma's attention to detail to ensures accuracy of our reporting and compliance with regulatory standards.

Although you might think that working in finance makes you boring but that's certainly not the case with Emma; a proud dog mum, country-music lover and an enviable sweetie drawer at her desk.

She also loves spending time with her family, as long as her husband is not otherwise engaged with a new LEGO set to add to the growing collection that adorns their home.

Last weekend marked the fifth year of the William Purves Triples at Gorgie Mills Bowling Club where funeral director Ian Mckernan was in attendance to award the trophy to the winning team.

Counting calories and raising cash for Parkinson's UK.

Our head office turned bakery for a leadership team bake-off fundraiser as part of our company support of SAIF independent funeral directors President, Gary Staker's, annual give-campaign.

Star bake was a classic Victoria Sponge from Ali Purves with tied runner-ups to the Biscoff Rocky Road from Colin Brown, Acorn-branded sponge by Andrew Purves and Tim Purves' chocolate cake. Coffee anyone?

Today marks a decade of Steven "Hutchie" Hutchison at William Purves.

Joining as a casual driver, Steven is now a long-serving funeral operative, whether escorting families in a limousine on the day of the funeral, or driving one of our hearses carrying loved ones on their final journey.

His sense of humour paired with a compassionate nature is appreciated by both his colleagues and passengers alike.
