This month, we’re practising listening to the body.

Not pushing through.

Not overriding.

Not waiting until it breaks down to pay attention.

Just… listening, to gently reconnect.

The Grounded Gathering opens this theme gently in May — journal prompts, a live session and small moments to come back to yourself.

Always simple. Always at your own pace.

We would love you to join us

This month in The Grounded Gathering, we’re exploring creating space.

Not by doing more but by gently noticing where things feel rushed, full or tight.

Sometimes space doesn’t come from making big changes but instead, allowing a small pause.

Our live session takes place on 15th at 7pm. Replay available to members who can’t make it. Join us in a gentle practice designed to help us slow down and pause.

Over the years I’ve noticed something.

We know when we need to slow down. We know when our body is tired. We know when we need space.

But actually creating that space in everyday life is hard.

Life is full. Work is busy. There is always something else asking for attention.

So I created something simple.

The Grounded Gathering is a small monthly space to pause, reconnect with your body, and give your nervous system a little breathing room.

Nothing complicated. Just a gentle place you can return to.

If it feels like something you might need, you’re very welcome to join us.

Prioritising yourself can not only feel emotionally sticky but also like another task to add on to the never ending to-do list. Something that you feel like you have to do or ‘should’ do but which, somehow, never makes it to the top of the list because there is so much else calling for your attention and you simply don’t have the time.

But what if we applied the 1% rule? That’s just 14 and a half minutes of your day. 14 and a half minutes to maybe stretch or step outside, pause with a favourite drink or read a few pages of a book

Not perfection, not pressure, just a few moments to prioritise you and your needs.

You can break it down into shorter moments throughout your day if you want. It doesn’t matter how you do it, just that you start to try giving yourself the same priority as everyone else. Because small acts of self-priority quietly reshape your life.

If you claimed 1% today, what would it look like?
Drop it below. Let’s inspire each other

Why celebrating small wins works:

When you celebrate a small wins such as trying a new recipe, going to the gym, completing a necessary task you don’t enjoy, or just getting out of bed on a tough day, your brain releases dopamine, the “feel-good” chemical.

Dopamine boosts your motivation, helps you feel more confident, and makes it easier to keep going. It’s like having a mini cheerleading squad. Celebrating the small stuff can motivate us to do a little bit more and encourages us to focus on our inner ally rather than the, often louder, inner critic.

No win is too small. Celebrate it however feels good for you: Give yourself a celebration dance or a medal ceremony or a quiet thank you. But do acknowledge it, and specially on the difficult days.

What wins (big or small!) are you celebrating?
