Why I Don’t Recommend Bunion Surgery After 20 Years as a Podiatrist
After 20 years of treating feet, I’ve learned that bunion surgery isn’t always the best place to start.
While surgery can be appropriate for some people, it doesn’t always address why the bunion developed in the first place — and some patients can experience problems again later.
In this episode, I explain what I’ve seen throughout my years as a podiatrist, why I’m cautious about recommending surgery too quickly, and what you should consider before going down that route.
