Microwave Poached Salmon..πŸ₯£πŸŸπŸ£

Ingredients:

1 salmon fillet (about 150–200g)
2–3 tablespoons water, vegetable stock, or white wine
1 lemon slice (optional)
Salt and pepper to taste
Fresh herbs such as dill or parsley (optional)

Method:

Prepare the dish
Place the salmon fillet skin-side down in a microwave-safe dish.
Season with salt and pepper.
Add the water, stock, or wine around the salmon.
Top with a lemon slice and herbs if using.
Cover
Cover the dish with a microwave-safe lid, microwave-safe plate, or vented cling film.
Cook
Microwave on medium-high power (70–80%) for 3–4 minutes for a standard fillet.
Check the salmon. It should be opaque and flake easily with a fork.
If needed, cook in additional 30-second intervals until done.
Rest
Leave covered for 1 minute after cooking. The residual heat will finish the poaching process.
Serve
Carefully remove the salmon from the liquid.
Serve with vegetables, potatoes, rice, or a salad.

Tips:

Avoid overcooking, as salmon can dry out quickly in the microwave.
Cooking times vary depending on the thickness of the fillet and the power of your microwave.
For extra flavour, add a slice of butter, garlic, or a splash of soy sauce before cooking.

The salmon is cooked when it reaches an internal temperature of 63Β°C (145Β°F) and flakes easily with a fork. Enjoy!!!!..😍πŸ₯£πŸ πŸ˜

Turkey breast or crown is easier and quicker than a whole turkey.
Slice turkey thinly and add gravy to keep it moist.
Mash vegetables if a softer texture is needed.
Leftover turkey can be used for sandwiches or soups.

πŸŽ„ Risks When Preparing a Whole Turkey Christmas Dinner

Food Safety & Hygiene Risks
Undercooking the turkey can lead to food poisoning (e.g. salmonella).
Cross-contamination from raw turkey juices touching other foods, surfaces, or utensils.
Poor hand hygiene after handling raw poultry.
Choking & Eating Risks (for Older People)
Turkey can become dry, making it harder to chew and swallow.

How to reduce risk:
Wash hands thoroughly after handling raw turkey.
Use separate chopping boards and knives.
