I’m Joanna, a qualified CBT counsellor based in Edinburgh, supporting adults with anxiety, low mood (depression), self-criticism, work- or school-related stress, low self-esteem, addiction, anger management, and sleep difficulties.

If you’re feeling overwhelmed, at a crisis point, or like you can no longer cope, please know you don’t have to face it alone β€” get in touch for support.

CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) helps people understand patterns in their thoughts and behaviours and develop practical tools to feel better and cope more effectively.

I know reaching out for support can feel difficult, and I also understand that therapy can sometimes feel financially out of reach. Because of this, I do offer some reduced-fee spaces where possible.

I always aim to provide a calm, supportive, and non-judgemental space where people feel heard and understood.

Hello 😊

I’m a qualified CBT counsellor, and I currently have spaces available for new clients who are looking for affordable therapy.

Winter can be a really tough time for many people β€” shorter days, colder weather, and less energy can all have an impact on our mental health. CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) can be helpful with anxiety, low mood, stress, overthinking, confidence issues, or feeling stuck in unhelpful patterns.
I aim to offer a warm, non-judgemental space where I work collaboratively with my clients on recognising and reshaping unhelpful patterns of thinking and behaving, creating a shift in how they feel. I also focus on recognising and strengthening inner resources, and building resilience.
