Friends & Family Survery Results JUL26

Thank you for your candid feedback from your appointments with the surgery. Some highlights from the survey results (almost 500 received):
• Dr Lam had good manner and gave information well including in depth follow up notes, which was great.
• The doctor I saw today was very thorough and really reassured me. The gentleman in reception was also very helpful
• Karl communicates very clearly and enables a relaxed atmosphere
• Straightforward to book, easy to check in, didn't have to wait friendly reception staff, friendly health professional
• Dr Pruthi is warm professional & reassuring
• It was my first appointment at this surgery and my doctor went through everything with me and took the time to understand everything and listen to me.
• Dr Dias was very thorough and explained everything in detail and gave clear informationabout how we will proceed with further investigations/treatment.
• I was feeling unwell the day l visited. To my surprise the doctor said you need to go to hospital. The next thing a ambulance was outside waiting for me. I was look after my nurse and doctor thankyou
We acknowledge that clinicians on occasions run late with their appointments – we appreciate your patience when this occurs. Although appointment times are, on average, 10 minutes medical / psychological need may dictate a longer consultation.

REMINDER: Telephony Menu System Update

We plan to deploy a new version of our Telephony Menu System during the monring of Wednesday 29 July 2026. The menu selections have changed.

The new design should improve patient access and ensure callers are directed to the most appropriate service as quickly as possible. Key changes will include:
A stronger focus on helping patients self-resolve common enquiries, including signposting to services such as:
- Pharmacy First
- Appointment checking and cancellation services
- Online self-service options

Prioritisation of patients with identified access needs. The first phase of this enhancement will focus on patients who have only a landline telephone number recorded on their patient record, helping to ensure they can access support more easily.

These changes form part of our ongoing work to improve telephone access, reduce waiting times where possible, and ensure our reception team can focus on patients who require additional assistance.

We appreciate your patience during the deployment period and welcome feedback once the new system is live.

Pitstone Dispensing Machine

Unfortunately, the dispensing machine is currently unable to accept payments for prescription charges.

Patients who are exempt from prescription charges (for example, those holding a valid Prescription Prepayment Certificate or other exemption) are unaffected and can continue to use the machine as normal.

Patients who are required to pay for their prescriptions will need to collect their medication directly from the Dispensary after receiving their text message confirming that their prescription is ready for collection.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

We expect the issue to be resolved and the loading of chargeable prescriptions into the dispensing machine to resume by Tuesday 21 July 2026. We will provide a further update should this timescale change.
