SD Osteopathy I'm a professional sports massage therapist and osteopath. I offer acupuncture as well as exercise rehabilitation aiming to promote your wellbeing and recovery.

After finishing my degree in sports and exercise science I worked alongside a Chiropractor for a few years, until I made the decision to complete my Masters in Osteopathic Medicine. I work alongside the physiotherapist at Drifters rugby club and having been exposed to a wide range of injuries and scenarios, has given me the experience and the ability to diagnose and treat efficiently and effectively.

🏋️ The aim of warming up is is to gradually prepare yourself mentally & physically for what is about to come. This can involve a light jog before sprinting or lifting weights 💪🏼

It is debatable on whether a warm up prevents injury however, I believe increasing blood flow around the body and putting your body through the motions of what you are about to do improves your mind-muscle connection.

⏱You always have time for a warm up before your gym routine! 5 minutes is enough to increase blood flow, heart rate and potentially prevent injury 🙌🏼

Back pain is a common occurrence in pregnancy and osteopathy provides a helpful drug free approach to pain💪🏼. We get great feedback from our mum’s to be, and it’s rewarding to help them on their amazing journey.

Considerable postural changes occur as well as ligaments and muscles being on more of a stretch to a accommodate these changes.
