🌷🍀 It was a ‘blooming marvellous’ evening at the Royal Windsor Flower Show Charity Preview, with Hanka, Robyn and residents from Rivermede Court Care Home. And it was made that little more special when residents had the honour of meeting the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh and iconic British gardener Alan Titchmarsh.

🪘The Biggest Drumfit in Hampshire came to Mornington Court Care Home with a Bang! 🥁
Debuting residents and teams from Netley Court, Hartwood House, Sunnybank House, Heathland House, Wellington Vale and Abbotswood Court. A superb exercise for improving cognitive function in a whole-body workout, 𝐃𝐫𝐮𝐦𝐟𝐢𝐭 is one our residents’ favourite activities and is loved by all. 🥂 A huge congratulations to Rivermede Court Care Home GM Manon James-Mallinger and her team, who celebrate a superb Gold accreditation from the NaDCAS Dementia Care Accreditation Scheme. 👏💐
Residents and families enjoyed a special family photoshoot courtesy of our care technology partner Sensio, and attended by the new Mayor of Runnymede Cllr Steve Ringham and Cinnamon Head of Care & Quality Gavin Pathmarajan. Link to the news in the comments.

It is a World First Announcement, for and beyond!
Beginning this Summer 2026, Cinnamon ambassador Louis Alexander is to embark on a special challenge to become the first person to kayak seven of the deadliest ocean crossings on Earth.
The challenge marks the start of Louis’ Seven Frontiers Trilogy to continue the fight to find a cure for dementia, and a long-term goal to raise £1M for dementia research.
Louis will also have the official backing of Race Against Dementia, a charity founded by Sir Jackie Stewart OBE.

It’s the start of Dementia Action Week, and what better way to announce that Mornington Court Care Home has attained a Platinum national dementia award!
Mornington Court is the latest Cinnamon care home to achieve a NaDCAS Dementia Care Accreditation Scheme award. Link to the story is in the comments
The nationally recognised qualification and evidence-based programme supports and celebrates care providers who demonstrate outstanding practice in dementia care across every aspect of daily life.

With the Cinnamon in Bloom🌷🌞 competition well underway, residents at Parkfield Grange Care Home get busy sowing the seeds for some wonderful floral displays. Excited to see what this year brings, with gardening proving to be a wonderful way to help reduce anxiety, provide purpose and a naturally soothing routine.

We’ll be looking for those late bloomers, the beds of roses, even the fresh daisies and budding talent.
