🎾 Congratulations to all the winners, and a huge well done to everyone who took part in such a special celebration! Your sportsmanship, determination, and enthusiasm have made the event truly memorable.

Our residents have thoroughly enjoyed following the tournament—playing tennis themselves and watching almost all of the matches together. It has been wonderful to share in the excitement, celebrate the incredible performances, and be inspired by the spirit of the game.

🍽️ Another delicious dining experience at Rivermede Court Care Home 💙

Our residents enjoyed a wonderful meal this week, starting with beautifully pan-fried sea bass served with buttered new potatoes, fine green beans, and roasted cherry tomatoes. 🐟🥔🍅

To finish, everyone tucked into a comforting bread and butter pudding, served with warm custard and vanilla ice cream – the perfect sweet treat! 🍮🍨

At Rivermede Court, we believe mealtimes are about so much more than great food. They bring people together, create happy moments, and give our residents something to look forward to every day.

"My nan has received amazing care from all the staff at Rivermede. Everyone is very attentive, always offering to help and always has a smile on their face. My nan has always been happy whenever I came to visit, and all her carers interact with her – it's so lovely. Thank you all very much, you are all amazing."

A huge thank you to our resident's family for taking the time to share these lovely words. Feedback like this means so much to our incredible team, who work tirelessly every day to provide compassionate, person-centred care.

What a wonderful sunny day spent exploring the story of King John and the Magna Carta! 🌞🌼 We enjoyed a beautiful walk through fields bursting with colourful wildflowers, making daisy chains and taking in the peaceful countryside. Along the way, we spotted so many different butterflies fluttering from flower to flower, as well as stunning blue dragonflies dancing in the sunshine.

One of the highlights was discovering the meaning behind the 12 chairs of the Magna Carta, learning about the people and principles that helped shape history. It was the perfect mix of nature, history and adventure, creating memories to treasure. 💛🦋

🌱 Happy Pea Day! 🌱

Today together with Little Muddy Boots we celebrated Pea Day! The children had lots of fun exploring peas, learning how they grow, and discovering that peas are packed with vitamins, fibre, and protein to help keep our bodies healthy.

We also learned about the amazing role of pollination and how hardworking bees help pea plants grow. As bees visit flowers to collect nectar, they transfer pollen from one flower to another, allowing pea pods to develop. Without pollinators like bees, many of the fruits and vegetables we enjoy wouldn't grow!

Through hands-on activities, stories, and outdoor exploration, the children discovered just how important nature's tiny helpers are and why we should all do our part to protect them. 🐝🌼

What a wonderful day of learning, exploring, and growing together! 🌱💛

Friday evening, we were delighted to welcome Pond and Grainger Dancing Group to our care home, and they truly took everyone by storm!

They created so many magical moments for our residents—memories that we will treasure for a very long time. Not only did they look absolutely stunning, but they also sang so beautifully that we were completely blown away.

The power of community is something truly special. Taking the time to simply come in, share your talents, and make our residents' day is pure magic. The smiles, laughter, singing, and joy you brought meant more than words can say.

A huge thank you to the wonderful performers for bringing so much happiness and creating such unforgettable memories. We can't wait to welcome you back again!

🐇☕️ Down the rabbit hole we wandered, where time politely forgot to tick and every teacup held a little bit of magic. ✨

Saturday afternoon's tea felt like stepping straight into Wonderland, where laughter danced through the air, the cakes were delightfully tempting, and every sip was sprinkled with enchantment.

🌊 75km completed – only 25km to go! 🌊

A huge well done to our amazing Wellbeing Team member, Kayleigh, who has now completed an incredible 75km of her 100km kayaking challenge! 💙

Kayleigh is taking on this challenge to raise vital funds for Woking & Sam Beare Hospice and Wellbeing Care, our chosen Charity of the Year. Her determination and commitment have been truly inspiring, and we're so proud of everything she has achieved so far.

There's just 25km left to complete, so let's cheer her on all the way to the finish! 👏
