Integrative Healthcare welcomes people from all backgrounds and walks of life. Whether you’ve just left school, are starting a new career, returning to education, or following a long-held passion, this course offers the opportunity to learn a subject you love while exploring a wide range of future career paths.

One of the great things about the programme is its flexibility. While many students choose to complete the full degree, you don’t have to commit to four years from the start - you can achieve a recognised qualification at the end of each year study. This allows you to progress in a way that suits your goals - you’ll be able to practice complementary therapies after just year 1 in employment or in your own practice.

What a day of celebration! 🎉 We enjoyed a lovely Integrative Healthcare get together with our students before the wider UNITED Student Awards celebrations of the day began. It was the perfect opportunity to come together and recognise all that our students have achieved this year.

This week we celebrate the last - but definitely not least - of our fantastic students who have completed their studies with us at UHI Moray 💙

Many of these students will be progressing into Year 1 of our BSc (Hons) Integrative Healthcare degree next academic year, so if you visit our treatment clinics in the future, you’re likely to see some familiar faces! 🙌

If you’re interested in a future career in integrative healthcare but not quite ready for the degree, our Essentials Massage Skills course is a fantastic place to start. Beginning in January 2027, this practical course provides a valuable introduction to massage techniques and hands-on treatment skills while helping you build confidence in a professional healthcare setting.

The course is ideal for those looking to:
✨ Explore a career in complementary and integrative healthcare
✨ Develop practical massage skills and knowledge
✨ Gain experience before progressing to degree-level study
✨ Return to education in a supportive learning environment

For many students, Essentials Massage Skills provides an excellent foundation before moving on to the BSc (hons) Integrative Healthcare degree, helping them develop key skills and confidence for future study.

We’re incredibly proud of all our students and look forward to welcoming the next generation of integrative healthcare practitioners 🌿

We enjoyed our Integrative Healthcare in the Community event on Thursday evening here at UHI Moray and what a special evening it was ✨

It was incredibly inspiring to hear honest and heartfelt stories from our guest speakers sharing how integrative healthcare and complementary therapies have supported their health and wellbeing - and really highlighting its benefits to the community. Special thanks to Rachel sharing her wonderful story of reflexology supporting her journey to motherhood 💛

We were also joined by past & current students of our BSc (Hons) Integrative Healthcare degree (the only one of its kind in Scotland! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿) - Morven, Kerry, Karen Jay, and Caroline - who shared their educational journeys, highlighting how even though stepping into higher education can feel daunting, it is possible to study around home life, family and work commitments. Our courses have a blend of face-to-face and online learning, and it was great to see how these all students have been able to exit at different stages of the degree, all with valuable qualifications along the way.

From taster treatments and interactive activities to meaningful conversations and connections, the evening truly reflected the power of integrative healthcare, community and support ✨ Thank you so much to everyone who came along and made the evening so memorable.

We’re excited for our Integrative Healthcare in the Community event on 21st May 2026. We can’t wait to bring people together for an evening of learning, connection, and wellbeing.

Find out more about how complementary therapies like massage, aromatherapy, and reflexology can support health, manage stress, and enhance quality of life. The evening will include inspiring talks, interactive activities, and taster treatments, and you’ll also have the chance to find out more about our courses.
