Yesterday we held our Get Noticed. Get Remembered. Bought. Marketing Science & Consumer Psychology Event with Eaon Pritchard, Founder of TheSignalWorks.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for a fantastic afternoon of thought-provoking discussion, practical insights and plenty of moments that challenged the way we think about marketing and consumer behaviour.

From understanding what people really buy and how people really think, to exploring the behavioural science behind memorable brands, Eaon gave attendees plenty to take away and apply in their own businesses.

The event truly was a unique approach to the topic, covering everything from Australian Spiders and Market Entry Points to Microwave Rice and Consumer Psychology—proving that some of the best lessons come from the most surprising examples.

A huge thank you to Eaon for delivering such an engaging and insightful session, and to all of our members who attended, it is your continued support that enables us to continuously curate such a varied events programme.

We'd also like to extend our sincere thanks to UHI Moray for once again hosting us and providing an excellent venue for the event. We greatly appreciate your continued support of the Moray business community.

We hope you left with a few new ideas, a different perspective on marketing, and perhaps a newfound appreciation for why spiders, cards and Swedish cars all have a place in the conversation.

🌟 There’s No Wrong Path to Success 🌟

This , the Moray Chamber of Commerce team is sharing the career journeys that brought us to where we are today – proving that careers rarely follow a straight line.

From dreams of becoming a shopkeeper, fashion designer and wedding dress designer, to first jobs as a kitchen porter, cheerleading coach and aircraft engineering apprentice, our journeys have all taken unexpected turns to careers in business leadership, membership, events and town centre development.

✨ The lesson? Your first job doesn't define your future, and your childhood dream doesn't have to be your destination. Every experience teaches you something valuable and helps build the skills and confidence you'll need for the next opportunity.

Whether you're collecting exam results, starting your first job, heading to college or university, changing direction, or still figuring things out, remember: there is no single route to success.

Every step you take is part of your own unique story.

Help shape Moray’s next international trade programme
Following our trade mission to New York and Boston, and ahead of our virtual mission with Boston in October, Moray Chamber of Commerce is beginning to explore where our international trade activity should focus next.
But before we make any decisions, we want to hear directly from Moray businesses.
Our new Moray Goes Global 2027 survey asks:
🌐 Which international markets are of most interest to your business?
🌐 What buyers, partners or opportunities would you like help accessing?
🌐 Would you consider joining an overseas trade mission?
🌐 Would you take part in an inward mission, welcoming international businesses, or investors to Moray?
🌐 What level of financial commitment could your business reasonably consider?
Whether you already export, are beginning to explore international growth, or would be interested in meeting overseas buyers here in Moray, your views will help us shape a programme based on genuine business demand.
The survey takes around five minutes and completing it does not commit you to participating.
Complete the survey here or head to our website: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/VPC6NZ6
