☀️ This is the first summer I decided to take 3 weeks off. It has been almost a year and a half since we moved premises and it has taken a lot of time and energy to get to where I want the clinic to be.

Since setting up my business in 2012, I have not taken such an extended break in one go. Not only did I need this break to recharge, it also turned out to be a noticeably quieter period in terms of footfall and calls coming through so I am pleased I had the break when I did. My husband and I celebrated our 13th wedding anniversary together and he celebrated his birthday a couple of weeks ago too.

Having spent a wonderful two weeks with my family in Portugal and then a long weekend in Leeds and Manchester with dear friends, it was great to be back at work today helping patients with their pain, my batteries full again!

👧 This morning I went in to a nursery to speak to 2, 3 and 4 year old children where I introduced them to the world of physio. They enjoyed taking part in balance exercises, jumping, throwing and exercising through play. It was great to see them so engaged and having fun!

Proud physio alert 🚨

Last week, I saw my patient for a regular follow up. 5 months ago she could not even lift her left toes off the floor due to pain from a recent haematoma in her thigh. Here she is lifting her leg high to march on the spot, progressing her leg strength and her overall balance. It really is amazing to see her progress evidenced here 👏🏻

She has put so much hard work in to her rehab on a daily basis. I have held her hand so to speak all the way through and guided her in the right direction but it is my patient herself who has complied with the exercise regimen, adhered to the advice I have given and put in the hours. I am so proud of her 💪🏻

A little flavour of my caseload today:

Started the day with a home visit for reduced mobility.
Returned to clinic to see patients with:
Hypermobility
Sports massage
Back pain
Shoulder pain
Sciatica

A pretty varied day! Just the way I like it 👌🏻
