It's our great pleasure to announce and to congratulate the 4 members of our team, that over the last couple of months have achieved and been certificated with their First Response Emergency Care Level 4 (FREC 4).

By you all completing this qualification, it shows the level of commitment to providing the highest quality of care to all of our patients and event organisers.

The team and I would like to thank the organiser and volunteers from Wisbech Adventure Playground, The Spinney, for a amazing day at the National Playday event.
We had a couple of minor injuries to deal with, which from the number of children that attended, that was outstanding.

They joined us as 16-year-old volunteers and have since become fully trained First Responders. Today, they make a significant contribution to the more than 1,000 volunteer hours our team has delivered this year, helping to keep people safe in Newmarket.

What a weekend. The Fen Edge Festival (19th–21st June) delivered sunshine, great music, brilliant crowds and unforgettable moments.

A massive shout‑out to the East Anglia First Aid Events team — you were absolute stars all weekend, keeping everyone safe with skill, care and good humour.

And of course, a huge thank you to the Fen Edge Festival Committee. Your hard work behind the scenes made the whole event run smoothly from start to finish.

Day two at the Fen Edge Festival is underway, and the East Anglia First Aid Events team is back on site and ready for another great day.

We’ll be running CPR training at the medical tent throughout the day for anyone who’d like to have a come and learn a genuinely lifesaving skill. We can be found beside the Carousel on the main green

It’s set to be a warm one, so please drink plenty of water and look after yourselves while enjoying the festival.

The sun is shining over the set up of Fen Edge Festival as our team gets stuck into some morning skills practice. A perfect start to a busy weekend ahead.

Throughout the festival, we’ll be on hand to support anyone who needs us — but we’re also here to share lifesaving knowledge. Come find us to learn CPR and how to use an AED (Defib).

Whether you’re curious, want a refresher, or have never tried it before, we’d love to show you how simple and empowering these skills can be.

After two years, it was fantastic to catch up with some of the committee members this afternoon as we begin setting up for this weekend’s bi‑annual Fen Edge Festival.
We’re really looking forward to a brilliant weekend and welcoming everyone back. With the warm weather expected, we’d like to gently remind all attendees to stay mindful of heat exhaustion — please keep hydrated and take breaks in the shade when you need to.
Our team will be on hand throughout the festival, so don’t hesitate to come and see us if you need any help or advice. If you or anyone in your group starts to experience any of the following signs, please come to us straight away:

Heavy sweating
Dizziness
Fatigue
Nausea
Headache
Muscle cramps
Pale or clammy skin

We’re here to help keep everyone safe so you can enjoy the festival to the fullest.
