During my sound therapy training, I was introduced to tuning forks and became fascinated by how vibration and frequency can influence our experience within the body.

I’ve been slowly integrating them into some of my own practices, exploring how different frequencies feel and noticing what supports me when life feels particularly full or overwhelming.

One simple practice I’ve really been enjoying combines cross-lateral movement with 396Hz and 528Hz tuning forks.

It only takes 5–10 minutes, but I’ve found it helps me slow down, soften the mental noise and reconnect with the present moment.

The effects aren’t dramatic or instant. They’re subtle.

A deeper breath.
Less tension in my body.
A quieter mind.
A greater sense of grounding.

It’s become one of those simple practices I find myself returning to again and again when I need a moment to reset and regulate.

I’d love to know — what simple practices help you come back to yourself when you’re feeling overwhelmed? 🤎

Yoga hasn’t given me all the answers.
It has given me the courage to feel.
Just feel.
Nothing more. Nothing less ✨

It was in this moment that I realised the gong had been calling to me through my grief.

Never in a million years did I think I would enjoy playing a gong, yet there’s something profoundly moving about feeling its vibrations ripple through the body. Through a process called entrainment, the sound can encourage the brain to shift into slower, more restorative states, inviting a sense of calm, presence, and connection.

What an honour it was to share these vibrations with , even if only for a couple of minutes. A small moment, but one I’ll remember for a very long time.

Sometimes healing arrives not through words, but through vibration.

What does your body need right now?

Not tomorrow.
Not when things are quieter.
Not when everything else is done.

Right now.

After a retreat — or any moment of deep connection — there can be a subtle urge to act.
To apply.
To move forward.
To “make something of it.”

But often, the most nourishing thing is to settle before acting.

Integration lives in listening.
In slower mornings.
In choosing less.
In allowing the body to lead, not the mind.

If you’re feeling tender, spacious, or quietly reflective — nothing is wrong.
This is where the work lands.
