Hello — I'm Warren.

I'm a counsellor and occupational therapist in Enniskillen, working online across the UK with people who are anxious, exhausted or stuck, and have often been holding it together a long time.

If that sounds familiar, the free 30-minute call is the easiest place to start. Phone or video, nothing to prepare.

Healing doesn't mean pretending it didn't happen.

A lot of people come to therapy hoping to get back to who they were before. That isn't usually what changes. What changes is how much room the trauma takes up, how often it takes over before you've had a chance to respond, how much of your energy goes on managing it.

The damage stays part of your history. It stops being the thing running your life.

That shift tends to happen slowly, and more in the body than in the understanding. It's why insight on its own often isn't enough, and why the work is worth giving proper time to.

If any of that sounds like where you are, I offer a free 30-minute call. Phone or video, whichever you'd find easier.

Have you been thinking about therapy for a while?

Maybe for months, or even years. You might be on the fence, telling yourself the timing isn't right, or that you wouldn't know what to say.

The truth is you can find all kinds of reasons not to reach out. Sometimes it's a quieter thing, a sense that other people's needs come first, or that you shouldn't take up the space. But that's what therapy is for: building self-worth, understanding and meeting your own needs, taking a risk on yourself.

I offer daytime, evening and Saturday sessions, so it can fit around work rather than competing with it. And if you're not ready to book anything, start with the free 30-minute call. Phone or video, whichever you'd find easier. You don't need to have it worked out beforehand, or explain it well. That's rather the point of it.

Recovery from trauma doesn't happen in one place.
It moves through layers, and the order matters more than people expect.

Body. Restoring regulation and a felt sense of safety. Nothing useful happens while a system is braced, so this comes first — and for many people it takes longer than they expect, and turns out to be the most valuable part.

Mind. Updating beliefs and making sense of what happened. This is where insight belongs. Not first, but once there's enough steadiness to hold it.

Emotions. Allowing feelings to be experienced and processed, rather than managed or held at a distance.

Relationships. Building trust, connection and secure attachment. Often the last layer, and often the one that tells you something has genuinely changed.

These aren't stages you complete and leave behind. The work moves between them, and rarely in a tidy line. But when the order is reversed — when reflection is asked for before there's any regulation to hold it — therapy can become something you perform rather than something that changes you.

Trauma isn't only something you remember. It's something your body carries on doing.

When a nervous system spends long enough braced, the effects don't stay emotional. They show up as sleep that never quite finishes the job. Digestion that won't settle. Muscles held tight for no reason you can name. Anger that arrives faster and larger than the situation warrants, or never arrives at all.

This is why insight alone so often fails to shift it. Your system decides whether a situation is safe below conscious thought, and far faster than thought. You can understand your own history in complete detail and still arrive braced. The understanding is real. It just isn't reaching the level where the problem lives.

Regulation before reflection. When that order is reversed, therapy can become something you perform rather than something that changes you.

None of this is weakness or a failure of effort. It's what a nervous system does after it has spent a long time keeping someone safe, and hasn't yet had the conditions it needs to stop.

Hello, I'm Warren.

I'm a counsellor and occupational therapist, and this is the room where I work in Enniskillen. I also work online with people across the UK.

I work with adults dealing with anxiety, burnout, and trauma, and with autistic and ADHD adults who are worn out from managing in a world that wasn't built for them. Many of the people I see have tried short-term talking therapy before and found it didn't go deep enough.

The work I do is slower. It pays as much attention to what's happening in your body and nervous system as to the story you came in with.

If any of that sounds like what you've been looking for, I offer a free 30-minute call - no pressure, just a chance to ask questions and see whether we'd work well together.
