The City of Derry Triathlon returns on Saturday 5 September 2026, bringing Triathlon National Series racing back to the heart of the city.

Race through a compact city-centre course alongside the River Foyle, with the atmosphere building throughout a huge day of triathlon that will also feature the Europe Triathlon Cup — City of Derry 2026 and Europe Triathlon Junior Cup — City of Derry 2026.

If Derry has been on your race calendar, now is the time to make it official.

One of the swimmers who got into difficulty was airlifted to hospital, after members of the Coast Guard, Bundoran RNLI and Rescue 118 were tasked to the scene near Bundoran.
