Today is Sunday, 31 May 2026 Ali’s birthday.

A day when we should have been lighting candles for his life, celebrating his voice, his eyes, his smile, and his presence. But today, I am standing in front of his absence with a heart full of grief. It is painfully strange that Ali was born on a Sunday and also left our eyes on a Sunday, as if this day has been carved into my heart forever, like a wound that will never fully close.

Since Ali left, nothing has felt the same. The house is not the same, the air is not the same, even silence sounds different without him. People looked from the outside, spoke, judged, and made comments, but no one truly understood what it means to keep living after such a loss. No one lived our nights, our tears, our shock, or the emptiness that was left behind.

My pain was not only losing Ali. It was also seeing the true faces of people who should have stood beside us. People who carried the names of family, friendship, loyalty, and respect, but did not even allow forty days to pass before showing what was really in their hearts. Ali used to say that some relatives can eat your flesh and blood but still won’t throw away your bones. After he left, I understood those words with my whole soul. Some people did not even have mercy on our broken bones.

And to the friends who wore masks, you also showed yourselves. The smiles, the claims, and the fake friendships all lost their colour after Ali was gone. But remember this death did not only come for Ali. Death comes for everyone one day. Maybe in that moment, you will understand the pain you added to hearts that were already broken, although some hearts were never made to understand at all.

Ali was too pure, too kind, and too deeply rooted in our hearts to ever be forgotten. He may have lost his physical presence, but his pure soul is still around us. I believe he sees, he knows, and he understands the truth, because no truth can ever be hidden from a pure soul.
I have stood until today through pain, judgement, accusations, cruelty, and the masks of people who tried to break our peace when we were already broken. But I am still standing. I am wounded, but I am not destroyed. I have handed everything to God to the God who sees behind every mask, hears every silent tear, and never leaves cruelty unanswered.
Ali, today is your birthday. I wish I could light candles for your life, not for your memory. I wish I could hear your voice just one more time, see your eyes, and feel your presence again. Your absence is the deepest wound in my heart, and it will stay with me until my last breath. But your love, your soul, and your memory are stronger than this pain.
You will never be forgotten. Not today, not on any Sunday, not on any day of this life.

Happy birthday in heaven, Ali. Missing you cannot be explained with words.
