Yesterday, we introduced you to Amii at work, and today it's Tom's turn! β˜•
Tom works at Coffee Tree in Sutton Coldfield, where he does a fantastic job every week. Whether he's serving customers as a barista, helping keep the coffee shop running smoothly, or bringing the signs in at the end of the day like he is here, Tom is always ready to lend a hand.
We're proud to celebrate the skills, dedication, and positive attitude that make Tom such a valued member of the team. 🌟

Over the next few days, we'll be celebrating some of the amazing tenants and residents we support who are doing jobs they love.
Many of you will recognise Amii, who regularly features in our newsletter alongside her beautiful horse, Biscuit. Their story is a wonderful example of what can be achieved when people are supported to follow their passions and make choices about the life they want to lead, as Amii works at the stables 4 days a week.
We're incredibly proud of the positive contributions our tenants and residents make in their local communities every day.
Keep an eye on our page tomorrow for another inspiring story!

🌍 Building Compassionate Communities Across Borders
We were delighted to welcome Keiko Chida from the End-of-Life Care Association in Japan and social welfare student Yuuka to Lisieux Trust as part of an ongoing international partnership exploring how communities can support people through life's challenges.
The visit included an origami session, visits to our homes, and conversations about how relationships, kindness and community connections help people live fulfilling lives.
Emma Hodges, Chief Executive Officer of Lisieux Trust, said:
"A compassionate community is one where people support each other, particularly during life's more difficult times. The very best support comes from the love, laughter and friendship we share with others."

πŸ“Έ Happy World Photography Day!
When Irina was helping with our social media last week, she had a great idea. To celebrate World Photography Day, we're looking back at some of the fantastic newsletter covers we've featured so far in 2026.
We'd also like to say a huge thank you to everyone who sends us their photographs throughout the year. Your images help us share stories, celebrate successes, and highlight the people and communities that make our organisation so special.
Take a look at some of our favourite covers and see how your photography has helped bring our newsletters to life. πŸ’™πŸ“·

🎀 The return of the Ade Rap!
As many of you will have seen on our social channels recently, one of our houses enjoyed a fantastic trip to Weston-super-Mare. To mark the occasion, Ade has written and performed a brand-new rap celebrating the day's adventures.
From the sights and sounds of the seaside to the laughter shared throughout the trip, it's a wonderful reflection of the memories made together.
A huge thank you to everyone involved in making the day so special. We hope you enjoy Ade's latest creation as much as we did! πŸŒŠβ˜€οΈπŸŽΆ

No Monday Thumbs Up this morning.
It didn't feel appropriate today, as we remember Janet, whose funeral takes place today.
We are thinking of everyone affected by this terrible loss and sending our love and support to all who knew her.
In the photograph we've chosen to share, Janet is proudly wearing the colours of her beloved West Bromwich Albion, a reflection of the passion, loyalty and spirit that so many of us will remember her for.
Any of Janet's friends who are unable to attend the service are warmly invited to join her family for a celebration of her life at Head Office from 2pm.
The Trust will never be quite the same without her. Janet touched the lives of so many people, and her warmth, friendship and dedication will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

🎨✨ Happy National Relaxation Day! ✨🎨
For Sarah, like many of the people we support, taking time to relax and be creative is an important part of wellbeing. She loves colouring and creating beautiful diamond art pieces.
Sarah is also incredibly kind-hearted and often gives her creations away to others. Recently, she presented two of her masterpieces to our Head of Operations, Alison.
We couldn't let this one go without sharing it with you too! Just look at this wickedly good diamond art inspired by Wicked. πŸ’šπŸ©·
Well done, Sarah. Your talent, creativity, and generosity bring joy to so many people.
